Should there be a MITB at WM this year?
I was just thinking. I kinda don't wanna see a MITB match at Mania this year.

You know that whoever wins it is going to win teh title in the next 12 months pretty much, so I'd like to see them shelve it this year, and maybe for a couple of years after that. Use it to build up big stars. But it doesn't need to be done every year.

I think it's one of the (or maybe the only) good thing that WWE has introduced in recent years and should be continued.

Give HBK the title after he defeats John Cena.. and then you got Shawn Michaels versus Jeff Hardy feud to lead you into the middle of the year. Pretty sure those matches would be fantastic.

Keep MITB, but don't make it so the MITB winner always gets the title... and by always, I think I mean twice, so the word "always" shouldn't have been used here.

I like it because it adds a suspense to every night up until its used, you don't know when the champ will be challenged, and suspense is something the WWE desperatly needs right now.

I like it. It should be used. However if theres gonna be a tag team TLC match with the Hardys and other teams that likely takes it out of the equation.

There's not reason to stop it. It's actually a good thing for 3 reasons:

1. 6 midcard guys get a spot on the card. 4 extra guys for what would probably just end up being a regular singles match otherwise.

2. Someone's getting a ticket into the main event for at least 2 months. Hello new main event stars. Of course, once you get there, not being arrested for drug posession helps.

3. A fucking 6 man ladder match at WrestleMania. Are you shitting me? When is that ever a bad thing?

Yhe only thing I'd do differently this year, is just not to have the winner get the belt. Better yet, have him get screwed into having a 3 way and have the 3rd wheel become the new champ. Then you have Mr. MITB chase the belt on the new guy.

Personally I'd like to see some guys in it this year like Jeff Hardy, Nitro, CM Punk and others.
I'd love to see someone like Jeff Hardy win the MITB and get a PPV title shot, even if he didn't win it, or only won it for 24 hours. It'd be the best way to push him to the title, even if only fleeting.

Seconded. In a way, it's like figuring out which number will win the Royal Rumble. Will it be #1? #2? #30? #15? Will a MitB winner cash in immediately? A month later? Nine months later? Next year's Wrestlemania?

Plus it's pretty much guaranteed to be an entertaining match. And looking at this year's card, we sure as hell are going to need one.

Theres a lot of cool loopholes that WWE could really use with it, if they had the patience. But they don't.
For example, its good for a title shot oppurtunity for 1 year, 365 days. Well, if they bided their time with a winner they were high on, and instead of them waving the suitcase around they let us forget about it for a year.
Then, post Royal Rumble, almost a year later that Superstar whips out their contract as a huge swirve and trumps the Royal Rumble winner, resulting in a Triple Threat.

Now you're thinking. Thats the kinda cool possibilites I'm talking about in addition to the one above. If WWE could be bold, or patient, they could do great stuff like that instead of just having a guy win it and defend it at backlash then cash it in over the summer.

Here's an idea, maybe bad, maybe good...? You'd have to have the winner of MITB be someone who is uber over at the moment, say CM Punk for example.

Have him win the MITB, then run out after the main event and cash in straight away.

Not saying it'll be good or not, and obviously it won't happen, but it was just a random idea I had, for them to make the MITB chase different than the last two.

It'd be great if a heel had the MITB contract, and one year later a member of the opposing brand won the rumble, and switched brands to face the champion. This pisses him off because he had his eye on cashing it in there, so he goes over to the other brand and drops the bomb on the guys over there who are bickering over who gets the shot.
Both WM ME compettitors use their title shot to switch brands and fuck everyone over.

Also another idea, is that since the MITB Can be cashed in at anytime, have the person come out midway through the main-event, after bother stars are tired and pick up a WM triple threat victory.

Imagine a MITB winner won the rumble the next year as well. And after losing their title shot at Wrestlemania, busted out the contract and demanded the bell rang and a rematch began.

What if a Rumble Winner won the rumble, and then cashed in the MITB that night at the rumble after the title match and won the title. Then stood soverign in the main event of Wrestlemania? Would the universe implode?

Exactly all the possibiltys that MITB brings give suspense to what is happening, because in the back of your mind, your thinking when will _____ cash it in. Also a Rumble win would be awesome, when someone had MITB.

But how about this, say Jeff Hardy wins MITB, Keeps it to January, Wins the Rumble, later that night cashs in his MITB, and wins the title, going to Wrestlemania to face another champion and win his title.

But unfortunately we wouldn't ever see stuff like this. Especially that scenario with Jeff Hardy, because it'd because with each step the poor guys chances diminish to biblical proportions.
First he has to win the MITB, small chance but fair enough
THEN he has to win the title with it: very slim chance
then he has to win the Royal Rumble match: snowballs chance in hell
then he has to unify two world titles by winning a second and retaining at Wrestlemanias main event: stand in the Sahara and wait to drown

Jeff would be most likely to win. IMHO
He has to win the rumble. I think a 3.448% Chance is decent.
After this winning the title would be a piece of pie.(Not Cake, Cakes too Hard), Since the track record is perfect for money in the bank winners.
If he won the rumble he would win the title at wrestlemania, as every winner has for the last 8 years.

so really all he has to do is win MITB and RR, and its set in stone, WWE isn't going to change how well things are going in the past while

It's what I wanted this year, back in September I thought of it.
Seriously, it'd be a tremendous fued for various reasons.
1) They could bring the house down. They're great in ring, and have great chemistry together.

2) Edge could carry things on the mic, and Jeff could really make up for it with his ring work and fan support as the mysterious underdog risk taker.

3) The history. If these two never fued for the title, its a big mistake. The two have all the history written for them already. E&C's vs The Hardys is legendary, and these 2 are arguably the leaders. It'd be great to see it brought to a new level. Edge has become a breakout singles star and main eventer, and now Jeff is back and ready to be the same. Not to mention the whole past of Matt and Edge.

4) They're awesome....

But mostly it works because they're both ready to go. Triple H and Rock worked so naturally together, and they were great on their own. But once they were both ready to main event, they carried their rivalry onto the next level. Since Edge and Jeff Hardy are both ready to headline PPVs, its only natural that they do it together.
