ECW "Title" plans for WrestleMania 23?
I was wondering, because I just thought how fitting it would be if either RVD or Sabu won the titles from Lashley in THE Main Event, even though it is ECW, the third-rate brand in WWE programming right now...the only reason I bring this up is because it would make a great ending for this year's Mania, which as most of you know, is being held at Ford Field (the first time a championship has ever been spotted there - BOOM!) in Detroit, and as RVD is from Battle Creek, and Sabu was originally from Detroit, and trained here in Lansing, MI by the "original" sheik, would be a great treat for the fans...any thoughts...also feel free to address the question in the subject line...

Lashley is going to be holding the Title until Mania. Last I heard either Sabu was going to put him over, or I had even heard that Hardcore Holly might be doing that honor. Personally, the ECW Title is a joke beyond jokes.

Which is why your idea to put it as the Main Event it stupid. IMO.

If anything, the ECW Title will be the opening match and not the main event. Or maybe the ECW title will be the main event... on Sunday Night Heat.

ECW is lucky if it gets 3 matches on the card.
It'll get the title match, and probably some kind of originals vs new breed team match.
Other than that, maybe a midcard CM Punk match or 1 or 2 guys in a possible MITB match.

As for those matches, they'll all be early in the card.
The ECW title match will not only play third fiddle to the other 2 world title matches, but probably also to each shows "second main event" matches like the shit with Hogan/Khali, Foley and Booker and stuff.
So yea, uppermidcard, and probably given 10 to 15 minutes.

The ECW title match is going to be a dark match. Maybe they'll include it on the DVD as an extra.
