TNA commercial

Did anyone else see the new TNA commercial on Spike? Its completely attacking RAW. I think it goes like, "Next week when they promise you this (they show wrestling), instead they give you this (shows some old dog show)"And then it goes on from there. Kinda weird how WWE continues to just ignore these shots. Usually they would attack with the lawyers.

If anything that would be an attack on the network of Spike USA (oops) since they decide who airs what and when. And furthermore, how have they said anything that is sue worthy?

How can they attack if they don't even state WHO they are?

If they said that "Next week, instead of the USA Network giving you WWE wrestling, they're going to give you the Westminster Dog Show", then they've got something. While it's a shot, they didn't do anything illegal.

And don't even start on why WWE doesn't acknowledge them on-air.

Doesnt seem like Vince to ignore something like that. Its no question what they are talking about. I mean come on wrestling for a dog show? Sounds like something USA would do...

Ultimate Warrior, yeah. Vince, no.

Whatever you may think, Vince isn't as crazy as Warrior, who's suing over a DVD depicting the character, not the man, of Warrior. (Though they're so similar no wonder he got them confused.)

Of course they're talking about USA and WWE...but they never said USA or WWE. Just like when Subway has all those ads about the "other guys" having fatty burgers. You can' sue someone over implications. And IF you did, they could counter suite for defamation of character.

And as for Vince ignoring them...HELLO! They pose no threat at all. Why put a giant fucking spotlight on a small company that is trying to position itself to overthrow you? It would be like paying to promote the other team. It makes no sense.

Actually, they do mention McDonald's by name, and even have their products on-screen. Though since they tell the truth it's perfectly legal.

If they named USA and WWE by name, it may actually fall into the "truth" category. But even so, TNA would then be giving USA and WWE free publicity, which would be pretty fucking stupid.

When did they start saying McDonalds by name?

Also, in honor of Crossrine...The One's Sig...

Interesting. This must be new, cause I know for a long time (the past 2 years or so) they've had Jared just say "The other guys."

The final point of this thread I would like to make is that the original post was so insainly idiotic, that before the 10th post, the only topic that this thread is about anymore is Subway ads that may or may not mention McDonalds.

TNA needs to quit making reference to WWE.

I don't remember if they did specifically, but I'm pretty sure. They actually run info at the bottom of the screen identifying the trademark holders of Atkins in one, and I think McDonalds in another. Granted, Atkins isn't a competitor, but it's the one I remember.

Anyway, bottom line: Even if they haven't, they legally can.
