dishonesty in advertising...and other stupid commercials
has anyone ever seen those satellite TV commercials, where they act like "now you can throw out those messy cables!"? BUUULLLLSHIT!!! once i got satellite service, instead of one cable, i got three even bigger cables for one TV, and an additional cable per each other TV which were sloppilly, and ineffectively stappled to the exterior of my house.

and then there's the cable company's commercials that claim that satellite service is interupted any time that it rains or there is a cloud in the sky. i have had satellite service for almost 3 years and it has never been interruped by adverse weather. i do seem to remember the cable going out rather frequently though due to the weather.

whats up wit dat!?!

and is it even humanly possible for the white adult male of the species to be half as stupid as portrayed in television commercials (and sit-coms).

TV commercial / sit-com white male myths:

- women are always the dominant party in a marriage or relationship.

- the white man is like a retarded child who cannot function without the guidance of his wife, who is now basically his mother.

- the white man is petrified of his wife or mate.

- the white man cannot sit down and enjoy a beer in a bar and have an attractive woman walk into the place without losing his mind and probably pooring beer all over her.

- though the white man may earn a descent living and be a good provider for his family, he should not enjoy any amount of respect from his children or his wife.

- the white man is an oaf who cannot appreciate anything of more cultural or educational significance than a football game.

- the white man generally has to sneak around in order to have a beer or play a game of cards because he must have the permission of his mate in order to do anything enjoyable.

is that really what the white man is? ...or percieves himself to be? is that the rest of the countrys' perception?

if any women, or any other ethnic group was portrayed in this way, they would be marching in the fucking streets. i shit you not.
