The ONLY thing that would make me (and prolly most people) order WM 23 would be...

If The Rock was announced as like Trump's pick or something. Basically, I was watching "The Great One's Funniest" videos on YouTube (Corndad posted a couple of them in the YouTube thread), and it reminded me of just how damn over The Rock was. The man could get anyone to eat out of his hand, and the pops he got were insane.

Think about it. You're watching RAW next week. Trump comes out and says his choice will shock the world. It'll be someone no one thought would we'd see in the WWE again.

And then...

"IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL..."

Wouldn't you mark the fuck out?

Anyway, discuss The Rocks' greatness. Just to remind you, here are a bunch of clips (14 to be exact):

Are they picking wrestlers to wrestle for them or are they wrestling eachother. If they're picking wrestlers to wrestle for them, i'll bet anyone on this forum 10$ THAT Khali is picked.

Picking wrestlers to wrestle for them, as far as I know. And yeah, if it's not Shane, it'll definitely be Khali. Even though he's in... what brand is he in anyway?

Rock's never going to wrestle again. At least not until his Hollywood career crashes, so your best bet to see Rock, at earliest, is WrestleMania 25...

I was a big fan of The Rock and I'd love to see him come back, but I remember a period where I hated him. It was at some point during a face run. All of his shit seemed recycled and forced, and it really wasn't as funny as everybody seemed to think.

That's not even entirely his fault, seeing as to how that's bound to happen when you're on the stick EVERY WEEK, but basically all I'm saying is that The Rock may get more hype than he deserves because we only get to see him in small doses. When he came back for those brief times on Raw with that HollyRock business, it was great...but if he would've stayed on Raw permanently, we'd probably all be sick of him by now. Not trying to take anything away from The Rock, but I really think people build him up a bit much.

Well it's true that we'd probably be saying the same things about his as we do about Triple H and Hogan. It'd just be the Rock show, by now he'd be like 18 time world champion and we'd all be saying "you're getting boring and holding everyone down"
But that probably wouldn't have been his choice as much as Vinces since he's not a backstage politician. Nonetheless The Rock being gone sucks and is a good thing at the same time. Even our favorites have to hang it up sometime and at least Rock went out in his prime and never stuck around long enough to make us hate him.

AT: Yeah, I remember when the forums sort of turned on The Rock as well. It might just be the whole time passage thing where you don't know what you had until you don't have it, or it could just be that we haven't seen him on TV in a while. But I can definitely say that there is no one currently in the WWE who has anywhere near the impact that The Rock made everytime his music hits. Even Cena pales in comparison with the pops he generates. And CM Punk is getting buried, so yeah...

I would love to see Austin and The Rock picked for the match. After a long stare down in the ring, they both turn and Stun/Rock Bottom Trump & McMahon and shave both their heads.

Then Paul Heyman in Gene Simmons costume would appear out of the sky riding Falcor and shoot fire up McMahon's ass. A unicorn simultaneously would crawl out from under the ring carrying Lil' Bastard only to both be eaten by the Boogyman. Boogy would then crap out a huge pile of worms, including Fonzie...still bleeding from the Beulah beating. Fonzie would then drag Vince & Trump to the same ring corner, placing a chair over their faces. RVD would swing to the ring on the shoulders of Sabu, who's dressed as Capt. Jack Sparrow. RVD would hit the Van Terminator on Trump/Vince as Capt. Sabu Sparrow continues to hold the rope too long, landing slightly short of two tables randomly placed at ringside...inciting the crowd to start the chant "HOLY SHIT!" Sandman would enter through the crowd and cane Sabu, stating "He Hates Pirates." He would also then cane an already bloody Fonzie, mistaking him for Nick Mondo.

The finisher comes as The Great Khali walks out, chops the ring in half and folds everyone together like a sandwich...then eats it. Wrestlemania goes off the air to a Great Belch and Khali signing a new commercial deal for Subway.

I think it's about basketball. I mean with bowling you're generally in a bowling alley. There's balls all over the place, yeah? If some poor sport takes his ball and goes home, you just get another one off the rack. When you play basketball, generally one guy brings the ball to the court, and when he takes it home, your like, fuck, we don't got a ball now.

I don't know what image anyones associated with the saying "take my ball and go home" but the correct answer is that it isn't neccesarily associated with any sport, but its certainly not bowling.

Taking your ball and going home refers to "that kid" who is pissy when he doesn't get his way. Since you're all playing with eachothers toys, the ball in use in whatever playgroudn sport happens to be his. Since he's disgruntled, he decides to take his belonging and go home with it out of spite. Just because he can, and it negatively effects everyone else. With that being said, it could be basketball, baseball, kickball or whatever. But thats what it is.

Of course, if he also takes the bases, then it's probably baseball.

There's an article on this in the Detroit News' website at http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070214/ENT01/702140393/-1/ARCHIVE

*Note: Contains spoiler as to the first inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2007, as well as photos of what Vince and Trump look like now, and what they'd look like if they were bald...pretty funny, actually.
