KOTR 01 Angle/Shane
During their street fight, they did the infamous multiple Suplexes/throwing through two "glass" panes in the set.

Now, they were clearly supposed to break away, but were they supposed to do the multiple Suplexes or was it that they weren't hitting it right?

I think they weren't hitting it right. Since Angle broke his tailbone on that suplex on the aisle before they went for that spot Angle didn't have the strength to really give Shane that extra push he needed to go through the glass panes.

I didn't know Angle broke his tailbone in that match.

I watched the spots again today and the second one Angle just threw him through (back out into the arena) and you could tell he was a bit frustrated.

I think the glass not breaking made it all that more memorable and devastating. Had it gone to plan nobody would be talking about it today.

I completely agree. Without the first two Suplexes it would have been just another extreme spot. With it it made it extremely brutal.

Angle didn't break his tailbone, he thought he broke it.

I think it's pretty obviously Shane was ment to go through first time, but due to the wind being knocked out of Kurt, didn't have the strength at the time to do it first time.

But I do think the multiple suplexes really did add to the match, so damn brutal. The actual KOTR01 dvd had a commentry by Shane and Kurt on the match, and they talk about that spot.

I remember when i went to that event thinking that match was going to be a joke..then when it happened and that spot came were angle didnt throw shane threw the glass and you HEARD that THUD in the building...you knew it wasnt supposed to happen like that. but that match fucking owned...period.
