IF (Yes, IF) TNA was really owned by Vince...

Do you think he'd ever admit to it?

Assume Shadow's tinfoil hat episodes are true (They're not, the paper trail he has claimed is really without merit), do you think Vince would ever fess up?

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

If Vince used WWE funds to run the company then I guess he would have to own up to it due to accountability. If he used his own private money then he may not need to - if this was the case then I'd doubt he would admit to it.

I seriously doubt Vince owns TNA, for the reason that Christian Cage is a main eventer there.

If someone random WWE employee blows the whistle, someone writes a really nasty book, or if someone can get a hand on internal memos and get them to public. Vince may have no other choice.

But for now, I don't believe any of this Panda Energy is linked to the World Wildlife Federation or Dixie Carter is really Linda McMahon is disguise.

I don't think he would. There's no money in the "Ha! I fooled you! Now I'm going to be the known owner!" scenario. I think it would be better if he just had TNA guys and WWE guys subtley leave their respective promotions, and then get "picked up" by the other.

IF he did....

He wouldn't have to fess up. It'd become public no matter what conspiracy was going on because of financial and trade reasons. WWE is a publically traded company and any of Vinces exploits would have to be known to the financial community and insiders and would quickly reach the IWC and public.
As for him wanting to admit it, I don't know if he'd want to but he'd have to, and eventually he'd cash in on it with an Invasion angle. In that scenario, he'd probably prefer to say he bought or extinguished the company and then repackage it and bury it on WWE programming.

However what he'd want to do would be irrelevant since he wouldn't have the option of pulling off such a lie with the inevitable outing of such a ruse.

See, I think you're right that there's no money in it, but I think in most instances, it'd be foolish of him regardless. For one, as long as TNA struggles to get about a third of Smackdown's ratings, there's no purpose in going "HA! I built a second lackluster franchise that and can't even handle fake competition!"

Very true. But even though its lackluster up against all WWE shows in terms of exposure and ratings, I still think they'd see within it the potential for an Invasion storyline or even a crossover PPV or a few fueds. And of course they'd exploit having the contracts of some of that talent.

But in this hypothetical scenario, with WWE secrety owning TNA they wouldn't take the ignoring approach that they employ. They'd try to put it over so it would get huge ratings too. They'd want it to become successful and well known enough for it to payoff when it came time to invade them or have them invade.
Technically they'd have the tv time on Spike with Impact, they'd make a WWE overhauled Impact even if only for a time period. If they didn't keep that, they'd condense the roster and send a lot of the talent to the other brands, mainly ECW.

Since its not a Turner Company airing on a Turner network type deal, the television time slot would carry over. And they'd be able to take the liberty of introducing that 4th brand under the WWE name or TNA guise.

Even while it was a secret, I don't think it would raise to many eyebrows if they subtely put it over to get its ratings up. For instance, instead of pretending its not there, they'd call Monty Brown Monty Brown and even talk about how he was a major player in TNA. They could also directly adress things like Kurt Angle and Christian, and the VKM shoots.

Some may say this would give it away, but I don't think it would.
In this scenario, we're assuming that the TNA roster is in the dark too right?
If thats the case, they'd see WWEs answers to their attacks as acknowledgement, but I doubt they'd be suspicious unless it was "watch Impact on spike"
The wrestlers and smark fans would probably even look at WWE's acceptance of their weak rivals as a form of mockery. They'd be so caught up in bashing WWE and their perception of WWEs views that they wouldn't see the signs.

Of course, when WWE ignores TNA and makes comments like "no other alternative", the bashers just say "they're mocking them and they're arrogant, they don't see them as a threat"

Of course if WWE did the polar opposite and directly acknowledged TNA, those some critics would say...."they're mocking them and they're arrogant, they don't see them as a threat"

You can't win with these type of people, but in this hypothetical scenario this mindset would aid in WWE pulling the wool over their eyes.

I agree. I don't think for a moment that they could or would keep it quiet this long. Or at all, really. There are too many Occam's Razors on this one to ever take it seriously, but with the ratings beiong so lackluster, I got to thinking "well, if Vince DID own TNA, would he even WANT people to know it?" And the answer, to me, was now. But we all know better anyway, that this wouldn't happen, couldn't happen, and Shadow needs to stop picking up the cheap pot.

It is. It did interest me enough to make it, at least. I just don't want anyone to take this as a confssion of possibilities I don't believe in.

I believe the odds that Vince is behind TNA (And I mean totally, not helping them like ECW) are about the same odds that the Ruse Report's article on Triple H getting a sex change and becoming the longest reigning women's champ is of becoming true.
