Quick Question About Parental Advisory on CDs
On Friday, I'm going to my local H&H Music to get a new CD. I was thinking about getting Iowa, but then something hit me: Parental Advisory. Of course, if anybody remembers or cares, I am 13, so I guess I am under the veil of being Parentally Advised. So, my not-so-quick question is, does the Parental Advisory sticker work like the "Rated M" label does in which employees can't sell labeled CDs to minors?

Yes and no.

M, R, and PA are all voluntarily enforced, with no real law stopping you.

Most places around here sell PA CDs without aging people, but it's up to store policy.

I don't know who the fuck H&H is. I don't know their policy. I don't think Fye does, and the only other place round here that might is Blockbuster.

I think I bought Iowa when I was 14 or 15, among a truckload of other Parental Advisory CDs, never got any grief from the stores.

I think the bigger problem is you are buying shitty music. The parental advisory is not because their great songwriting happens to feature profanity, it's because the music in itself is terrible. The record label is warning parents that their children are developing bad taste and that is why the label is there.

Well, I would download it, but I was trying to get more space on my computer, so I accidently deleted Java. I tried downloading it again, and it doesn't work.
