Theater Jumping
Movie hoping, theater jumping not sure what exactly you call it but do you do it? Basically you pay to get into one movie early in the day, then end up seeing 3 or 4 movies back to back. I've done it once before when I saw United 93, I was disapointed so snuck into Mission Impossible III. Needless to say, I got four movies lined up on Saturday where I could see them all by jumping theaters. Daddy's Little Girl, Ghost Rider, Reno 911 and Astronaut Farmer. It's a lot of movies, so not sure. Might drop Daddy's Little Girl as it's the first one in the line up.
So do you guys do it, if so ever gotten caught. Thoughts on it, is it wrong to do it? etc

I used to do it when I was younger except I didnt pay for ANY of the movies.

Every December 26 my friends and I do this. It's become a sort of tradition. Always a good time, too. Nothing like saving a small fortune to see a bunch of mediocre movies.

It's the type of shit I probably should be doing, instead of paying. I just know that its not the penalty that makes me not do it, since its just getting asked to leave as far as I know.

Its just the embarassment. Its shit like this, or egging houses, or any other teenage crime that I don't do anymore. Simply because I dont want the embarassment of being that guy whos 21 and is caught doing shit like this.

I did this for the first Tomb Raider movie and those motherfuckers came by every aisle looking for peoples ticket stubs cause like 10 people didnt have a seat. I raised hell though. They told me i had to leave and i said " FuCK That!" I told them i threw my ticket away in the bathroom. He said " Sorry sir we're gunna have to ask you to leave". So i asked to see the manager. In the process i asked to see the person sitting next to me's ticket. I read the ticket twice and told the little hotty politely that i'd give her ticket back in a minutes. The manager came and i told him that nowhere on my ticket does it say " Do not throw away ticket ". I was never told to save my ticket. Basically i acted pretty legitimet and the other people were rooting for me to stay lol. So the guy fucked off somewhere and i got to see that movie. When i walked out i told one of the ushers that i wish i let him kick me out cause that movie was shit.

It's difficult around here unless the movies are on the same side of the complex. Basically, you walk in and the line up is right there, and the concession and what not. THen there's like 6 theaters on the left and 6 on the right and everybody has to go through a ticket ripper to get to their group of screens. It'd be really easy to get into other movies on the side that your on, but to get to the other side would be nearly impossible.

I used to do this thing from week to week like it was a religion of some sorts. the most ive ever done was 8 movies in one visit. I plan on doing it some time in the future and actually trying to stay there from the first showing of a movie till the end when the theater closes.

Ive done different types of methods once in the theater. Ive done it where Ive actually taken my hat off and put it back on between the shows. But at the theaters I go to it was very simple to do anyways. I had to stop doing it at one because the manager began to know me after I applied for a job their back in the day. (big mistake on my part). Then the one I do it in now its really easy because there are always people walking back on forth from one side of the theater to the other to get to their car. I just follow the foot traffic and I can easily sneak into a movie.

yeah I used to do this from time to time. Heck, the first theater I'd do this at was a single screen theater that would play one movie and then another. They'd clear the whole theater, make everyone that was in there go outside and then re-enter, but yeah, the 'go to the bathroom' thing was the way to do it. It's so easy with these multi-theaters nowadays. But alas I'm far too old to be doing that sort of thing anymore.

Went really well for me this weekend. Planned out movies great so wouldn't have to wait long at all between then, no more than 15 minutes. I'd go to bathroom with the crowd leaving from my movie. Go in the shitter for a few minutes, then once the crowd was all gone go to my next movie. Plus it worked great for where my movies were, since it's hard to locate which theaters they are actually in for multi-plex, but had no problems with it. First movie was right by front so I was worried, but then for my next movie I left the bathroom and the ticket stub tearer was oh, Reno 911 is all the way down on your right. See myself doing this again.
