Yellow cards
I grew up playing soccer and rugby and I dont' know if it's a school rule, or an actual rule, but when a player got a yellow card in either sport, he had to sit off for 10 minutes. Is that true in professional soccer and rugby or just a school league rule?

I'm pretty sure all levels of rugby union and league both use the sin bin. I gotta be honest with you though I have never heard of a sin bin in any level of soccer.

Back when I played sunday league and cubs we'd often get subbed off if we got a yellow to make an example but no its not in any rules at any level for football.

A yellow card in Football is a 1st warning a second yellow will get you a red and that is a send off for the rest of the game. A yellow in Rugby Union is 10 in the sin bin, I'm not sure about League, they have a sin bin, but I don't think they actually show a yellow card.

In youth football, you generally had to be subbed off with a yellow, but you could come on whenever. In pro and international football though, where you only have three subs, all it is is a warning.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they do show yellow cards in rugby league. Well I've seen it in Super League before anyway.
