Beautiful People as RAW theme...
I was reading the PWInsider This Day in History and it said that RAW used "Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson as the theme. How long did this last? And what themes preceded and followed it?

I think that was a mistake since as far as I remember "Beautiful People" was only used for SmackDown.

According to Wikipedia: "An otherwise unavailable remix of the track was used as the opening theme for WWE Raw from 1996 to 1998."

So while it may not be accurate, that's a second place that mentions it being used for RAW.

It's also mentioned on Manson's IMDB page under Soundtrack.

Nope, Beautiful People was only ever the SmackDown theme tune, circa 2002, right after the brand split.

I can see how many 'We're All Together Now', which was the Raw ad break theme tune 1997-1999, could maybe be mistaken for it.

Check this vid. The intro theme is 'Thorn In Your Eye', and after the Raw Is War logo, it kicks into 'We're All Together Now'.

The First Night of the New Raw theme in 97 (The one with Stone Cold and everyone in the industrial factory with the fire and shit) used BP as a theme at last that night, maybe even more.

Thorn in your eye was bad ass. I remember seeing a backstage segment on Heat where the wrestlers tried the guess the lyrics, it was pretty funny with what they came up with.

"Beautiful People" was indeed used for RAW for a very short time. Around 1997ish.

Yeah in around March or April 1997, they used the Manson track for maybe 2 weeks. At least once though and then they changed it when they realised you actually have to pay to use other people's stuff. Funny how Vince didn't know this. Or maybe he does but it only matters when it affects him.

LOL, I actually remember that. Foley thought it was a beautiful love song. Angle was getting pissed, he only wanted to know one word. And the Rock just didn't even try and got pissed when the guy interviewing him didn't even know the lyrics.
