I liked the Wrestlemania/No Mercy games for N64 back in the day. They had that classic, really easy to use control system that THQ was known for and they were accurate on all the entrances and moves. They also had a good CAW.

No Mercy will always have a place in the heart of fans.
Day of Reckoning picked up on that, but was crippled by the story mode. HCTP is the best Smackdown game, but I'm not sure I'll ever call a Smackdown game the best. They still haven't even fixed a lot of the hit detection issues from Smackdown 2. |

I always liked WM2000/No Mercy a lot.
On a related note, I played Royal Rumble for the Dreamcast again recently and that is the worst game I've played in a while. |

The only real problem with No Mercy is that it was slow, even at that point. I mean, you could complain about the Graphics, but they were decent at the time, and the storylines were effin' fun. The grappling Engine was great, but needed refinement. I liked the variation from DoR/WM XIX, where you had quick grapples and strong grapples, and it felt a little better paced.

Yeah, No Mercy was a little slow. I don't think I played DoR though, maybe I'll rent it sometime.

No Mercy all the way.
I had a lot of fun playing Wrestlemania 2000, Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain. |

As far as WWF/E games go, it's No Mercy (except for the whole resetting-itself thing). But I think WCW/nWo Revenge might be my favorite ever.
It had the most amazing roster. Hollywood Hogan, The Giant, the Outsiders, the Steiners, Sting, Lex Luger, Randy Savage, Raven (and the Flock!), DDP, Goldberg, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Finlay, Harlem Heat, British Bulldog, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Misterio Jr... Plus, it had a really strong midcard with Brian Adams, Scott Norton, Buff Bagwell, Konnan, Perry Saturn, Disco Inferno, Jim Neidhart, Glacier, Van Hammer, Yuji Nagata, La Parka, Psicosis, Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Dragon, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Alex Wright... Plus, it had Eric Bischoff and Larry Zbysko as playable characters! And a ton of "Americanized" versions of Japanese stars. Fantastic game. Last edited by loopydate; 04-03-2007 at 11:00 AM. |

No Mercy was the best ever except for the resetting part.

Royal Rumble on Megadrive. But you can chuck in WAR (on MD and 32x) and Rage In The Cage on those too as they're basically the same game!
Most recent ones were the acclaim ones. I always wanted to understand TNM7 too.... |
