Personally, I think Edge should get the win and the WWE Championship. Either him or Orton. And this is coming from someone who isn't overtly fond of Orton.

John Cena and Shawn Michaels should cancel each other out, in my opinion. Neither man really needs the WWE Championship at this point. Cena got his WrestleMania main event, now it's time to let Edge and Orton's feud take center stage with the WWE Title on the line. Cena and HBK can work their heated program lower on the card, in a series of Gimmick Matches until Triple H returns.

I know the WWE thinks Cena is the next Hulk Hogan, and it's not likely to happen, but surely they've noticed he gets accepted much better if he's not WWE Champion? Surely a fun feud away from the WWE Championship, where Cena actually has a chance at earning fan support appeals to Vince?

I might actually care about RAW again if Edge and Orton feud over the WWE Title. The fans seem into them at the moment (both men have been getting pops), and neither is awful in the ring. The matches could actually be real fun, and it would be interesting to see who turns.

I think Edge remaining heel, winning the WWE Championship after hitting Orton with a con-chair-to, after HBK and Cena have taken a dive off the stage is a perfect way to set up RAW's major programs until Triple H returns at Summerslam.

It has to be Edge, i'm getting withdrawal symptoms for a heel champion (all is forgiven JBL!). He's the best on th mic, he can turn a crowd to hate him in seconds, and unlike some champions, (not naming cena names cena here, but...cena) he does have great in ring ability and can wrestle

Both Val Venis and Loose Cannon are beating John Cena and Randy Orton. Wow.

I also think Edge will pin someone other than Cena. I don't think it will be Orton, though. They need to have some kind of tension left for their feud. That leaves HBK. Edge pinning HBK could also lead to Cena getting even more pissed at Michaels for being the one to take the fall which cost him the WWE Championship, intensifying their feud.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Shawn Michaels win the match, and then Mr. Kennedy coming out, cashing in his title shot, and beating Michaels for the WWE Championship, though.

Another thing to consider: The WWE did end Edge's undefeated streak at WrestleMania. Sure, Edge wasn't exactly The Undertaker, but you'd think they'd be looking to thank Edge for being a good sport.

I know the WWE thinks Cena is the next Hulk Hogan, and it's not likely to happen, but surely they've noticed he gets accepted much better if he's not WWE Champion? Surely a fun feud away from the WWE Championship, where Cena actually has a chance at earning fan support appeals to Vince?

I might actually care about RAW again if Edge and Orton feud over the WWE Title. The fans seem into them at the moment (both men have been getting pops), and neither is awful in the ring. The matches could actually be real fun, and it would be interesting to see who turns.

I think Edge remaining heel, winning the WWE Championship after hitting Orton with a con-chair-to, after HBK and Cena have taken a dive off the stage is a perfect way to set up RAW's major programs until Triple H returns at Summerslam.

You may have won last time, but I am taking you to court again for theft of my thoughts.

wouldn't surprise me if they do an Edge-Orton VS Michaels-Cena match.

Have Orton and Edge breakup there, sothey can continue their feud (but not for the title) and continue a feud with Michaels-Cena for the title

That's actually a very real possibility. With all three brands now being represented at each PPV, the WWE could very easily take the slow burn with Cena/HBK and Orton/Edge, and just have the other World Championships defended.

I can very easily see a Backlash upper card of:

* The Undertaker vs. King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship
* John Cena & Shawn Michaels vs. Rated-RKO
* Bobby Lashley vs. Snitsky for the ECW World Championship

Or something of the like.

An interesting way to do the match would be to have the winner be the first guy to get a fall over all his opponents.

It wouldn't really be ideal in this match, but I would love to see a Fatal Fourway done that way one day. Ring of Honor could actually do a concept like this, methinks.

Anyway, I think this would be a nice way to close the match: John Cena has Randy Orton up for an F-U, but Orton slides out and shoves Cena into Shawn Michaels' Sweet Chin Music. HBK goes to nail Orton with it, but Randy turns the situation into a Michaels RKO. Edge then Spears Orton out of his boots, but Edge chooses to pin Michaels instead.

Orton can then claim Edge got the win because of Orton's move; Cena is pissed at Michaels for not kicking out and keeping the match going; Edge is WWE Champion.

I'd like to see Orton take it, and build a feud with Cena (only for a brief period though...) over the title until HHH's return, and then maybe have a Triple Threat of Orton v. Cena v. HHH at SummerSlam...probably not the best idea, but it would definitely be something different that I think the fans would enjoy.

I wouldn't mind seeing a huge, long program between all of them, perhaps with a few title changes along the way, finally ending in a bit Fatal Four way main event in the Cell, or soemthing of that nature.

Hmm...maybe Kennedy pulls out a surprise win in a triple threat, dropping the title to Orton rather quickly, then HBK winning the title over Orton with some interference from Kennedy. HBK plays the face and says the Showstopper doesn't need the help from anyone to win the belt...causes Kennedy to lose a Number 1 contender's match against Edge, then Edge steals the title from HBK with some Kennedy interference...finally Vince comes out all pissy and strutting making the main event for Summerslam to settle the mess once and for all.

Edit: I realize Cena is nowhere near this storyline...so I guess there's a flaw, with HBK his major rival at the moment. Anyway, I still like the idea.

If they choose to have Mr. Kennedy jump over to RAW, and the rumours about Benoit moving are true, I could definitely see John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Chris Benoit in an Elimination Chamber.
