UFC 69 Shootout
From The Meltz
Quote:
Now though Koscheck/Diego thats going to be fun to watch, and they straight up don't like each other. I'm going with Koscheck on this. His wrestling is too good, but I think this fight will be exciting since Diego doesn't have boring fights. |

OMG OMG
I am in shock. I can't believe this happend. GSP lost GSP LOST...WOW I like Matt Serra and think he is a very good fighter, but there was no way I thought he had a chance. Like it's GSP one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. HOLY SHIT Coming into tonight I beleived that GSP was the best at 170 in the world by far. I believed that Matt Hughes was his bitch, and that no one would beat him for years. I don't know what to believe in anymore. |

They were having it here but I wasnt able to go...instead spent the time at Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends watching it...
Not really a great show... Huerta Vs Garcia would of stolen the show....if it wasnt for the huge upset at the end. Still...Huerta Vs Garcia was best fight of the night Koschek and Sanchez was horrible...worst match ive ever seen |

Still I don't think I can sleep tonight. |

No they aren't.
His fights with Nick Diaz and Karo Parysian were great. This is really the first boring fight hes had, |

I thought it was a decent ppv. It had the makings to be a great PPV, but some of the matches didnt go like I thought they would.
What exactly is the "Huge" upset at the end of the fight you are referring to Shaggy? Huerta won all three rounds. Not sure what upset you could be referring to. Gsp and Serra had me on my feet yelling at the screen. Still stunned at the outcome. I didnt think he would win, but I gave him better odds then most people did. Serra is a veteran. Yea his win against Lytle wasnt impressive, but even Hughes had a bad fight against Lytle. So maybe it wasnt that it was a bad fight, but that Lytle is a better fighter then what people give him credit for. Serra is a veteran, you cant count veterans out until you have them on the floor seeing stars. As far as Diego and Kos go, it could of been better, but you cant blame the bad fight on Kos, it was totally Diego's fault. He took that first straight right and didnt want anymore of Kos. He didnt come forward like he usually does, and I think thats because he knew he couldnt win the standup war. I expected him to shoot more then he did, but I think he felt he had something to prove on his feet because of all that trash talk between the too. Bad call on Diego's part. Kos looked impressive on his feet though. Lots of movement, was definetly changing things up with Head/Leg kicks. He threw probably 10 head kicks the entire fight, and before this I dont remember him even throwing one in any other fight. It shows how much he has improved. I wanted him to win, so it was cool he did. I dislike Diego for a myriad of reasons, too many to even list currently. *Edit, my boy Cummo won his fight by knockout so that was the shit too. With this win he will get invited back, and maybe could win a few more. Ever since his knee knockout to Sammy Morgan in season 2 I have been a fan of his. On top of going to the final round with Stevenson in season 2, even after he was the last picked guy on the show, and no one thought he would make it out of his first fight. I think he is highly underrated because of his fights with guys like Jonathen Goulet. He looks like he is improving a lot though, so hopefully he continues to rise. I ca'nt believe GSP lost. Speachless. Maybe he needs to find a better camp to train with.

If I was a pro fighter, thats what I would do. I would go to different camps for different things. Team Punishment for cardio, because they have hands down the best cardio workout in big bear. Probably either Jackson's camp in New Mexico or even ATA in San Jose for my stand up. Both camps have good stand up coaches. Maybe even Militech just to get any overall drill in all aspects. Serra's or Jorge Gurgel schools for jiu-jitsu. Just some things that came to mind. |

He doesn't really have a camp. He has a boxing coach, a wrestling coach, a jj coach. Trains with national boxing teams and whatnot. Not a MMA camp.

Oh, and he wasn't training with Gracie because Serra was a student first so he got seniority.
