I LOVED WarGames as a kid. If they attempted to bring them back today I'm not sure they would get over. We have passed the era of Hell in a Cell and moved into The Elimination Chamber as the new measuring poll of insain cage matches. And that's all WarGames was, the first variation on cage matches. So while awesome they were and how much they have paved the way for modern day Cage_style matches, they simply can't compare by today's standards.

Best idea that Dusty Rhodes ever came up with. Almost always guaranteed to be a bloody match, easy final match to settle Faction Wars, and easily the most entertaining match type ever. I ve said it before, War Games I in Atlanta,GA.....July 4, 1987...favorite match ever! Im waiting till tomorrow to get the horsemen DVD and i will finally have seen ever NWA/WCW war games match ever televised.

I never really liked them, they all followed the same sort of pattern.

And the fact that you couldn't have a winner till everyone was in made it a long drawn out process.

If they did it like an elimination chamber but with teams, that would be better, so 1 pin didn't mean the finish. Just 1 elimination.

That would make more sense, as the amount of times there were 2 heels on 1 face with no pins annoyed me

I think he was one of a few people who were pushing for it, and that it was eventually turned into the Elimination Chamber idea.

I agree with Dave Youell to be honest. I wouldn't mind seeing them just bust out a War Games-like concept in the future, though.

I have this idea of a match that just spans an entire show (for that reason, and that reason alone, I doubt it will ever happen). Every man on the roster is involved, and there are three sides: RAW, SmackDown! and ECW. Have the match take place in Hell in a Cell, or something? Maybe have "waves" of wrestlers. You don't need to exactly level the sides out, just make it like a "war". Numbers don't really matter, the side with the best strategy and weaponry could win.

When you are eliminated, you go to the back. Maybe have a quarter-time, which can allow for piss breaks. Maybe have backstage interviews and angle development in these segments? I guess you could make it a series of waves (so guys don't have to work for like three hours), and have survivors go on to the second wave to represent their brand. Maybe have each commentary team handle a different wave?

I think it would be a pretty awesome concept if the WWE pulled it off. Or even if they just took a PPV, made it a competition between the brands, and just had a series of matches pitting RAW, SmackDown! and ECW's rosters against each other, where each competitor would compete at least once. Maybe have a Battle Royal, a Ladder Match, a Six-Man Tag, and Eight-Man Tag, a battle between Champions and finally a War Games-like match.
