Cause of Dudley's/Team 3D leaving WWE
What was the non-kayfabe reason the Dudley's left the WWE? Hell, I don't even remember a kayfabe reason. All I remember is them being destroyed by Big Show and then disappearing for awhile, working ECW One Night Stand, and then leaving for TNA.

To be honest, they did run there course. The Dudley were one trick ponies. Sure you do the same trick 5 different ways, but it got old fast.

To play Mr. Obvious,

I think WWE really blew it with their tag division.

Kinda starting with The Dudleys leaving the promotion. WWE could have had such a huge kick-ass tag division, but for whatever reason Vince doesn't like tag wrestling. He claims it's the fans lack of interest in said division, however I do not buy that for a second - as 90% of people I talk to love tag wrestling in general.

The Dudleys were not one trick ponies. Thats the dumbest thing i've heard in a while. They suffered from the exact same thing RVD is suffering from. WWE watered them down so much and handcuffed them when it came to " entertainment " that no one really cared. I guarantee if WWE turned them or RVD loose, we'd be marking the fuck out.

Blah, the only reason they stayed fresh as long as they did was because they had E&C and the Hardys to work with for a good long while, and then they were a major part of the Alliance. They sucked after they were split up, and the freshness that came with their reunion died off pretty quick. When they were finally put out to survive as an entity on their own, they didn't get far.

Well lets see, they didnt let them cuss. Didnt let them cut promo's against fans. Didnt let them set tables on fire and put people through them. Pretty much completely changed Buh Buh Rays charachter. Changed there attire. Over produced them with all the pyro stuff ( tho they pretty much do that with there entire product now ).

Cussing is cheat heat. No one else gets to cuss in WWE and there are plent of other guys that are over. Any moron can work blue and get over.

Fire is cheap heat as well (no pun intended). Any moron can set himself, a table, or his oppenet on fire and get over, just look at Ball Mahony.

And tbh, i think i'd rather see RVD nearly kill someone then to see another one of his spinning kicks or forearm punchs narrowly miss his opponents faces by about a foot or two.

Look, if not swearing at and insulting the fans diminishes you, and if in order to stay fresh you have to go from tables, to flaming tables, to flaming tables wrapped in barbed wire, to flaming tables wrapped in barbed wire and the barbed wire is also on fire, then you just ain't that great.

And yeah, let's have RVD cripple a bunch of up-and-comers instead of telling him to stop being super-stiff and just be stiff. If you're worth as a performer hinges on you doing moves that are extremely dangerous to both yourself and your opponent, then you just ain't that great.

ummm So what should the " worth " of a performer be judged by? There entrances? I mean, pretty much every move is extremely dangerous to both the performer and there opponent.

And also, 99% of the other roster can punch and kick without being stiff and make it look believable. Even Horsnwaggle. RVD dont even come close. Its hard to believe someone couldnt see one of RVD's spinning kicks coming. They take like 3 seconds to develope.

Maybe by having mic skills that don't revolve around being profane, or having moves that don't involve gimmicky foreign objects? I actually enjoyed the Dudleys, even at the time at which they left. Yeah, they had gotten predictable and routine, but they still entertained me. That being said, I can see how it would be hard to find them something to do.

You know, you look at most of the workers RVD injured, and they seemed to get injured a lot even after he wasn't in a program with them, even after he was no longer in a program with them, or after he toned it down.

I'm ignoring the fact that he's been neutered, not just toned down, and looking at how stiff RVD must have been working if those dangerous moves could haunt people for years, causing some pretty regular injuries througout careers in the future.

Moves so stiff they transcend time and space!

I kid, but to demonstrate a point. Maybe RVD's style wasn't so dangerous and life threatening, when so many seem to be so injured so much later with so little RVD. And that's ignoring that there might be some ground somewhere between "let him kill people" and his current shell of a self.

If you're suggesting that RVD has slowed his pace, capped his moves and made his own finisher appear to hurt himself more than his inflicted opponent for any reason other than word from the top, you are dumber than the vacant expression on your avatar's face.

First of all, it's "box of rocks".

Secondly, you're contradicting yourself. Yes, RVD was a very stiff worker. Of course the company told him to soften up. So, what's the confusion? It is very clear that Rob doesn't like the way these people do business, and, depending on how they treat him, I can personally understand his attitude toward performance.

Ummm then we agree that he's way to soft and non believable. Who's fault is that? Not WWE's i know. They told him to ease up for a reason. They didnt tell him to go totally soft and half ass sell forearms. He did that on his own. And its funny you say " depending on how they treat him". I mean, i'd imagine they're treating him like someone who got caught smoking a joint in a car. I imagine they'd be pretty sour on something like that. I'd imagine they wouldnt wanna push someone who's a lazy stoner and has a shitty move set that only get half sold 99% of the time. ECW smarks act like RVD is so damn entitled to a push. The guy sucks. Maybe if he made his in ring work look like he gave a damn and he didnt get caught smoking joints with Sabu, he might actually get somewhere in the business. First of all, let's remember this isn't some reverse peer-pressure "I'm cooler than drugs" commercial and drop the "Bad people smoke pot" garbage.

Secondly, when RVD first came to the company via InVasion, he was getting bigger pops than fucking Austin, the board either ignored it or intentinally drowned him because of it, and gave him no reason to give a shit. This has not been a perpetual problem, scooter; this situation has been long in the making. So before you go preaching on the mound about how much he sucks and how much you know better than smarks, look at the whole fucking picture.

I understand it's better for your argument to bitch about things you don't have a total grasp on, but it's easier on everyone else if you know what you're talking about.

Also, as far as RVD is conerned, WWE let him work fairly loose when he first came over, and then he proceeded to bust open ever guy he worked with for about 2 months. Make believe fighters don't need to or want to bleed every night, exept Mick Foley, but now he is almost crippled.

Cussing and insulting the fans was the Dudleys' gimmick in ECW. They would come out and blatantly rip apart the fans for minutes and minutes, and they would do it in such a way that they would garner tons and tons of heat. They were rude, mean, jackasses, and they were extremely violent.

In the WWE, they were just these two guys who liked to put people through tables. They weren't crude, and they didn't have an edge. It's true that they only survived as long as they did based on their feuds with the Hardys/E&C, the Invasion angle, and then their name.

TNA still has not figured out how to properly utilize the Dudleys.

Yeah, my point is any one could have done what they did. Well not anyone, there need to be a certain amount of believablity, i.e. they couldn't be panty waste stick boys, but any standard wrestler could have done what they did.

The Dudleys have been crap in TNA. I blame both WWE and the Dudleys for what they became towards the end of their WWE days. Maybe they lost their passion and motivation. Whatever it is, they need to shut the fuck up about the WWE and what they used to do. All of their promos and mic work consist of Bubba shitting on WWE and talking about shit that happened 6 years ago. They've done shit all in TNA and don't make the show any more enjoyable. Which is sad because I used to big fans of theirs.

Austin was entertaining, but no, I was never a drooling "Austin 3:16!!!" mark. By the time of the Jesse Ventura guest referee spot, I was getting pretty sick of the company revolving around him.
Austin wasn't all about profanity anyway. Take away the middle fingers, he's still over. Austin's profanity was mostly limited to "whip your ass" "son of a bitch" and "bastard," none of which really sets off anybody's alarm anymore. Austin was over due to his attitude (hmm, I wonder...); it didn't really matter what he said, the audience went nuts for him because of how he said it. He could have been loud and angry without swearing and he still would have gotten over (though I don't think "Austin 3"16 says I just beat the pants off you" would have been over on it's own.)
