rock against working with john cena
as posted on pws.com
Despite rumors, as well as statements from Cena in interviews suggesting that he'd like to work against Rock at WrestleMania, it is said to be highly unlikely at this point. For some reason, The Rock is said to be against working the match. It is not known why he doesn't want to work with Cena, but it's seemingly uncharacteristic of Rock. Rock not only has said that he wanted a new opponent to face at WrestleMania, but he's usually all for helping younger talent out. If you remember, his match with Brock Lesnar at Summerslam was a key step in Brock's development as a top star in the company. paul carrington sleeps in pig shit |

Don't post sh>it. Rocky said it was unlikely he would work against Cena. Not that he didn't want to.

I would like to see a backstage or in ring segment involving The Rock, Chris Jericho, and John Cena. Have a guy like Vince in the ring and have all 3 of them verbally tear Vince apart. Since this is going to be Wrestlemania 20 and is without a doubt the most heavily promoted wrestling PPV EVER... they should showcase the very best of all of their talents in every way. Guys who own the crowd with the mic like Rock, Cena, and Y2J all hittin' it at once would be just awesome to see. |

Wouldn't surprise me. I mean, for one thing it's a matter of how it would come about seeing as both are faces (for now) and each one needs crowd support to prolong their staying power and the fact that both men are on separate brands. Plus, Rock's filming schedule has allowed him about a month before WrestleMania so it's hardly anytime to build the match up into anything meaningful and big. But he didn't say it was totally out of the question.

I think Rock-Cena makes sense because it can be used to elevate Cena, which should be priority #1 for the WWE at this point. It also doesn't matter who is cheered, because they can always do a respect spot after the match and both guys will come off as faces. |

also with hogan rock at wrestlemania rock being the face was still booed and hogan as a heel was cheered...kinda like rvd during invasion..it all depends on who the fans are digging and i think right now cena is over the rock...rockys been gone awhile and fans are mad he keeps leaving.
