Was it the shortest lived promotion in wrestling history?

I'm pretty sure XWF aired a few of their tapings. Maybe not enough to surpass WSX though.

I remember Teddy Hart banging on about some promotion he was setting up, did that even get off the ground?

Aside from all the hokey shit, WSX wasn't bad. Different from everything else people have tried. I watched the first show without thinking about changing the channel which is the first time I have done that in a while.

I tried watching some WSX the other day. But they never seemed to get a match, and I ended up watching porn on my computer anyway.

WXO Wrestling didn't last too long either. I'm going to goodle it and see how short lived it was.

Howard Lipkint's WXO Wrestling was an attempt to launch another national pro wrestling promotion during the wrestling boom of the late '90s. Unfortunately, the harsh financial realities of the syndicated television market spelled a quick end to the promotion.
The company held it's first television taping in January 2000 in Lakeland, Florida. They taped three shows, which aired in syndication on the weekends of January 16, 23, and 30, 2000 with plans to tape 15 more shows on January 27, 28, 29, and 30 at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The tapings were cancelled, and the promotion was never heard of again. The WXO had some fine talent such as Dan Severn , Mike Enos , Barry Darsow , Johnny Ace, Scoot Andrews , Mike Burton and many more. |

To touch on several topics here:
XWF - Yeah, like everyone said, Hogan did wrestle. I believe he's the one marketing the DVD's and all that right now. XWF had himself, Hennig, The Power Company Twinz, Public Enemy, Jimmy Hart, and a whole crew from WWE, WCW, etc. I remember they did their tapings at Universal Orlando, then that was that. Teddy Hart's Promotion - That was H20 I believe, and he was supposedly involved in that with another genius, Court Bauer, who coincidentally was behind another short lived promotion in MLW. Major League Wrestling. I'd heard about Teddy supposedly putting his show together back in 2004 & remember one of the guys, Roderick Strong I believe it was, knowing that he'd been booked for a show that wasn't going to actually happen - so he took a booking for The Incredible 8 in Florida instead. Turns out he was right, The Incredible 8 went down, the H20 event never did. WXO - I remember them. Chris Cruise did the announcing if IRRC. They had all the people they mentioned above, plus Hack Meyers, the Shane Twins / The Gymini, Typhoon, and a bunch of others. The tapings were really lackluster - and they had crappy people on there like the copycat guy, "Devin Nash", who was a jobber from FL at the time who barely resembled Kevin Nash. |

Mike Enos is a fairly good worker, and a good hand in the ring. However, overall I would not consider him [or the majority of pro-wrestler's in general] to be a fine talent.

MECW - John Collins promotion that ran....one show in the ECW Arena.
XWF at least had a few different sets of tapings. MECW was "the next big thing" and it had one show and died. |

Some others that come to mind are XPW (some kind of extreme porn type of promotion I think) and that WWA that went touring around the world.
