eg.

Undertaker held the record of the shortest World title reign by a Royal Rumble winner. Even Rey Mysterio J.R. had a longer championship reign. Most of the time Kurt Angle uses a leg lock along with the ankle lock in order to make his opponents submit. Benoit earned his first wwe pinfall victory at WrestleMania owing to flying Headbutt. Previously he has used the manuver to register victories in WCW.

Seriously, though, some random facts:

* Batista has spent more time as a World Champion than The Rock, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker.

* Randy Orton may be the youngest man to win a World Championship in the WWE, but Big Show won the WCW Championship when he was 23 years old. Mikey Whipwreck won the ECW World Championship, which is still active, when he was 23 years old, as well. Lou Thesz is the youngest World Champion of all-time winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at just 21 years of age.

* If the WWE recognises Ric Flair as a 16-time World Champion, then the same rules applied to Jeff Jarrett make him a 10-time World Champion, which ties him for third most World Title reigns in sports entertainment history. If they count AWA's history (and I believe they do), Verne Gagne is also on that level.

* Minoru Suzuki is the youngest current reigning World Champion in Japan (AJPW Triple Crown Champion). He is 39 years old. Yuji Nagata is just a few months older at 40 (IWGP World Heavyweight Champion). Mitsuharu Misawa is turning 44 this year (GHC Heavyweight Champion). Compare this to the WWE: John Cena is 30 years old, Edge is 33 and Bobby Lashley (not current Champion, but Vince's golden boy and desires Champion) is also 30.

* Shawn Michaels trained Tomko; William Regal, Finlay and Dave Taylor partly trained CM Punk.

* Jeff Hardy, Val Venis and William Regal are only the WWE Championship away from joining Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Chris Jericho as Classic World Wrestling Federation Grand Slam Champions, in being former WWE Champions, Intercontinental Champions, European Champions and World Tag Team Champions.

Sean Waltman was NOT the first person to hold WCW and WWF titles at the same time.

Someone said they liked how Ultimo Dragon came out with eight titles at once....

The J Crown was eventually disbanded when WWE wanted to reintroduce the Light Heavyweight Title and suddenly realise it was in the hands of Otani, and demanded he give the belt back. See New Japan had been using the physical title belt as one of their own for a long time, but I guess WWE kind of forgot to keep tabs on it (so in a way, the WWE Light Heavyweight Title was on WCW programming when Ultimo carried all the belts around). Anyway, Otani gave back the WWE Light Heavyweight belt, vacted all the rest except the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Belt, and the rest is history.

Last time I remember this being enforced on TV was a WCW Saturday Night, probably 1995 or something. Sting and Luger were challenging Harlem Heat for the tag team titles, Sting had what was probably Booker T pinned, Stevie charged, Luger gave him a back body drop, DQ. No gold.

Always thought it was a stupid rule.

OK, this is kind of off topic a little bit, but seeing as we're talking about rules and stuff, it seems appropriate:

What is this shit with Michael Cole always defending a face wrestler for using a chair if a heel introduces it? A face using it because it's there is opportunistic, so I assume he's trying to get at some rule that a weapon can be used by a guy if his opponent is the one who introduces it. Is there, or has there ever been, a rule like that?

The way I always looked at foreign objects in the WWE is this: If you do something to your opponent, and the weapon happens to get in the way, that's perfectly legal (a whip into a ladder set up in the corner would not result in a DQ unless you deliberately placed the ladder there, and even then it's iffy. If you wield a weapon, and use it to transfer kinetic energy into your opponent, and nice vice versa, you can get disqualified.

Refs always prevent the babyface tag team from making a blind tag, but when the heel team does it, the ref doesn't do anything.
