TNA Sacrifice?
It's tonight, isn't it? If anyone can post results, or post a good link to some, it would greatly be appreciated.

I saw like the first 5 matches. Missed the 4 way tho
![]() What I remember: Sabin won the 3 way for the X Title Robert Roode pinned Jarrett with a Fisherman's suplex Chris Daniels beat Rhino after a baseball bat shot Basham and Damaja beat Kip James (Road Dogg got taken out in the pre show or something) I saw the Texas Death Match with Storm and Harris, but I don't remember who won. |

Sabin defeated Dutt and Lethal to retain the X Title
Robert Roode defeated Jarrett with a Fisherman's Suplex after Jarrett hit the exposed turnbuckle Chris Daniels defeated Rhino after a shot with the baseball bat Basham and Damaja defeated Kip James Chris Harris defeated James Storm in a Texas Death Match after Harris pinned Storm with a beer bottle shot to the head and Storm couldn't answer the 10 count Jerry Lynn defeated Tiger Mask(IV), Alex Shelly, and Senshi in a 4 Way Match Team 3D defeated LAX and Tomko/Steiner to retain the NWA Title Samoa Joe defeated AJ Styles with a Sleeper Hold Suplex Kurt Angle defeated Sting and Christian Cage to win the NWA World Title. Angle had Sting in the Anklelock while Sting had Cage rolled up in a school boy pin. One referee counted Cage's shoulders down while the other saw Sting tap out at the same time the other ref counted 3. However, Angle was named the winner and new champion. |

By the way, that's not off a site, a friend of mine ordered it and I watched it. Not a terrible PPV in my opinion. Nothing special but some pretty good action. The X matches had some good spots but were kinda bland. Roode defeating Jarrett really surprised me. The Daniels match wasn't that great but it served its purpose in continuing the Daniels/Sting protege storyline.
The Kip James/Basham-Damaja matched was the worst match of the night easily. The Harris/Storm Texas Death Match was the sleeper match of the night. I don't watch TNA regularly or follow it so I didn't know this was on the card nor I had followed the storyline but this match was really good. Storm bladed deep. Blood was pouring from his head constantly and his face was completely covered in blood. Some good spots too. The 4 Way X match was fast-paced(as would be expected) and pretty decent, nothing special though. The 3 Way match for the Tag straps was probably the second worst match of the night. Team 3D and Scott Steiner really drug the match down. This match was definitely carried by LAX and Tomko. I haven't seen Tomko since he left WWE but I've read good things about him from his time in Japan, and I must say, I am rather impressed. He's really improved. The NWA title match was decent. Nothing impressive. Nothing you haven't seen before. The ending was pretty strange, as soon as Kurt won he grabbed the belt and headed up the ramp and the PPV ended. But I guess that finish will set up the King of the Mountain match at the next PPV. |

No they didn't. I don't imagine they will until the next PPV, seeing as how that event will mark the 5 year anniversary of TNA.

Although I am watching a Youtube video from the Director of the NWA where he basically says as of 5/13 Christian is stripped of the NWA Title and Team 3D have been stripped of the NWA Tag Titles, so TNA might not be able to wait just over a month to introduce the new belts.

I think the PPV could have been done MUCH better, but no really huge complaints from me.
Instead of having Kip James go solo against Basham & Damaja, they should have had Lance Hoyt fill-in. He's been shown as an ally to Voodoo Kin Mafia recently, and he's a pretty good worker. He could have taken a heat segment, and then tagged in Kip, who does the firing up thing really well. To explain their loss, you could have just said Kip and Hoyt aren't used to teaming together, and Basham & Damaja have competed together for years (I'm not sure if TNA is trying to pass them off as brothers, or not). Chris Sabin keeping the title surprises me. I thought Lethal was taking it for sure. When does RVD's contract run out? With the no complete cause, he won't be able to compete at Slammiversary, will he? Is the no compete clause only when a guy is released? I'm just thinking that with Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley now seemingly feuding with Jerry Lynn, we could get The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam. What a tag team match that would be. I'm not too glad about The Steiners being back. TNA has all these great tag teams like Shelley and Sabin, Basham & Damaja and The LAX, yet they also have a bunch of shit teams. TNA needs to get it together. I'm excited about the prospect of a Christopher Daniels vs. Rhino match under hardcore rules at Slammiversary. That will kick all kinds of ass. Kurt Angle should have just beaten Sting to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Christian Cage was undefeated, so having him lose like that is pretty weak. I guess it's all null and void to, because the NWA might not even recognise the reign now. |

It's pretty sad when I hear that Goat Boy helped carry a match.

Also, more so than it being sad to hear that Tomko helped carry a match, it should be sad to hear that Team 3D(especially Brother Ray/Bubba Dudley/whatever) were the worst workers in the match. I haven't seen them wrestle in a long time and they've really seemed to lose more than a few steps since I last saw them. |

I'm not sure if it was just Japan that did Tomko good (although it wouldn't have hurt). I think Tomko was a pretty decent worker all along, the WWE just bottled up his talent like they do for every guy. And yes, Team 3D suck. Now that they won the NWA World Tag Team Titles and look like the greatest tag team of all-time historically, can they fuck off? |

It makes no immediate sense to move the feud abroad, and include more guys in it. Angle winning the Title, and then saying "Hey look, I want to hold a King of the Mountain Match because it's a TNA staple, and I think I can win it and prove I'm still the best," not only makes sense, but it would work, and be less confusing. |

Yea but I think even that is kinda weak. I mean, besides Christian, Sting, and Angle, who else are you gonna put in the King of the Mountain Match? Jarrett got beat by Robert Roode, so he's out. Abyss is out for a bit 'injured' or whatever. Samoa Joe could go in it, as he's had his eye on the strap for a while now. AJ Styles could go in a Joe's foil but coming off a loss he looks kinda weak too. Steiner's being drawn into a feud with Tomko and neither one of them should be anywhere near the main event.

Angle, Sting and Cage will brawl in iMpact!, and Cornette will come out and announce King of the Mountain with another two guys. Samoa Joe and Abyss will just brawl with Angle, Sting and Cage, and the match will be accepted as just that. And it will never be explained why. |

Pretty much. With the way the title switch was booked Cage is left without a claim to the title and without a feud to keep him busy so he's pretty much going to have to be involved. I doubt Abyss will be involved because his return feud will probably be the new guy James Mitchell is bringing in. Pretty sure Joe will be in. And I think the 5th guy will be Styles just because of his history in TNA and this being the 5 year anniversary of the company and all.

I would have booked Joe/Styles to have Joe put Styles in the Kokina Clutch, and have Styles pass out. Sure, it is a babyface tactic for Styles to pass out instead of tap, but I've always been of the belief that just because a guy turns heel, doesn't mean he always needs to be restricted by his new status. Face Styles could have sucked it up and toughed out the move until the end, why not heel Styles? It would give him a claim to being on par with Joe. It's not like Styles' heel status really needs to be had for the match. I mean he will technically be feuding with Christian Cage, the guy he is meant to be working under. Sure, he just turned heel, but he wouldn't be in his "full heel" mode. He can show a little toughness for a bit. |
