Pro Evolution Soccer 3/Winning Eleven 7 International
Who has this game and is playing it at the moment? It's simply the best football game around, and I haven't been able to put it down since it came out last year. I hear that the PES3 equivalent - Winning Eleven 7 International - came out in America recently, so it would be great to hear from some Americans who are enjoying it too.
I just finished an awesome match on PES3. I was my master league team against Inter Milan in the European Cup quarter finals, and I'd won the first leg 2-1 at home. I decided to sit back and defend for the trip to Milan, which in hindsight was a terrible idea. I hung on for 80 minutes, until Vieri was clean through and slotted one in the top corner for them. With the aggregate score at 2-2, it meant as things stood I would lose on the away goals rule. So I battled on, and I adapted an attacking formation to try and get a goal before the end. I pressed and pressed, but they headed out one of my corners, counter attacked quickly, and Scholes (Inter had bought him in the game) rounded my keeper and put it in the net. ****. The time was in stoppage time, which meant the ref would blow the whistle any moment. So I kicked off, and with some of the crispest passing and movement I've ever done, got an equaliser just before time. So with the score at 3-3 over two legs, and nobody winning on away goals any more, we went into extra time. That mainly consisted of me blasting their goal like a gattling gun for 30 minutes, but to no avail. So it went to penalties - they missed all but one of their penalties, and I didn't make any mistakes. Yay!! On the evidence of that match, my defence will still leak against the best teams. So I tried to buy Nesta from AC Milan on a free transfer, since his contract's up, but he told me to **** off and resigned with AC. Bastard. So in a rush of blood to the head, I thought "**** defenders" and used my hard earned cash to make an offer for Thierry Henry, who is officially the second best striker in the world in real-life. Now I have Henry, even if my defence concedes 5, hopefully I'll score 6 Last edited by Shake; 02-23-2004 at 07:19 PM. |

yeah, it is so realisitic.
I was Real Madrid vs AC, drawing 2-2 in stoppage time, when Morientes was through on goal. I had a shot, but the keeper dived and saved it. But the ball ran loose from his grasp( TM Ian Walker). I ran to it, but I tripped over the keeper, fell face first on the ball, which trickled in. |

Lol, double speed rules.
I love playing this game with my mates, always turns into some sort of fight. Back at school we used to have a league going and arguments over who was the best. |

PES3 is the greatest football playing game ever.I mean i got Fifa 2004 for Xmas but i just stopped playing it after about 3 matches.
Manually edited the names of players and teams and stuff and got newer updates like Reyes at Arsenal,Parker at Chelsea too. That free transfer thing rules though. |

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to packt up again. Anyway, the computer was putting presure on me last night like never before. They kept hitting the bar, just hitting wide etc and the keeper had to be on top form. Then they got a corner and all hell broke loose. They whipped in the corner, headed against the bar, semi-cleared it, they volleyed it back in again and smacked the bar again, my defender dived headed it clear to the edge of the area, they then headed it back in to the area ,where they then headed it towards goal. The ball crossed the line, but I had a defender there and hooked it back over. The ref blew his wistle and said a goal was scored First goal I had let in in 23 matches |

Doing Euro 2004 on 4* at the moment, 20 minute games, usually quite close against good computer competition.
I say usually, but as Spain I managed to dick Portugal 7-0, but I only beat Greece 2-1, while playing my patented 2-6-2 formation, which if I remember correctly was. GK- Casillas CB- Raul Bravo CB- Puyol DMC- Valeron LM- Vicente RM- Joaquin OMC- Guti OMC- De Pedro OMC- Reyes FC- Portillo FC- Morientes We did have about 70% possession though |

I had a pretty damn good team going using the default formation when I last played it. I think it was something like
GK - Buffon CB - Ayala CB - Nesta CB - Silvestre DM - Vieira DM - Gerrard RM - Pires LM - Zahovic (gonna sell to get Kewell in) OMC - Totti FC - Recoba (gonna sell to get someone else in, preferably a left footer but I dunno) FC - Ronaldo |

Most of my Leicester team on master league is made up of the real life players we have, apart from Ian Walker.
I tend to play on 5* difficulty which is normally a good challenge, just got through to Division 1(top league) Cup Final. |

I got dicked by the French in the final
I went one down, and then Tristan kinda went insane and scored 2 in about 5 minutes, so we were all over them for the 1st half. 2-1, until about 55 minutes, Henry scores, and then everything goes to pot. They get another 2 before 65 minutes, and then just shove on loads of defensive players. |

I just added Premiership All-Stars, which is basically the best players from the teams not on the game (aside from Middlesbrough who I put on) I made a pretty kick ass badge for them as well.

This game is pretty realistic
I was Arsenal against Man U, and I was completely dominating, they had 3 shots in a 20 minute game, and they came after about 60-70 minutes. Anyway, the possession ended up as about 61-39 in my favour, and I had the commentary set on neutral, yet throughout the whole game the commentators were going on about how well United were playing and how unlucky they were not to score. It is pretty realistic. |

Maybe if it had Clive Tyldsley(sp?) or Ron Atkinson commentating.
