Torrie/ Billy Kidman News

There is currently some backstage heat on Torrie Wilson. Most feel that she developed an ego since her second Playboy appearance, which definitely has made her less likeable. Furthermore, the lockerroom was very upset about the recent house show incident where she had a match changed.

Additionally, she also has made it clear that she will leave WWE if her husband, Billy Kidman, is released from his contract.

On the other hand, Kidman, who once had a somewhat unfavorable lockerroom reputation and attitude, has apparently become much more comfortable and likeable as of late.

What did Playboy do for Sable or Chyna when they left WWE on bad terms? Absolutely nothing!

How many playboy centerfold girls have had their careers take off since their spreads? I can only think of Kim Basinger and Jenny McCarthy out of several hundred women at the moment.

I heard something like a future story line was in the works where since before Gunns injury Torrie was always hanging with him that Billy Kidman will come in and get jealous and start a feud with Gunn. Now this might of just been a rumor since all this releasing talk is going around.

Heh. WWE is the big fed right now, but just because they wiped out ECW and WCW doesn't mean it will always be that way. I can see a possibility in the future of the WWE losing talent after acting arrogantly, to NWA/TNA or maybe another federation. (I mean like way down the line.)

I personally don't care about Torrie and Kidman, but, if Vince keeps letting talent go, they may get too carried away. Or at least, someone may be able to compete for ratings. I think Torrie is hot and all, but honestly, the fans aren't going to boohoo if she walks out. They have shown consistency over the years of being able to have woman faces and market them as sex appeal.

However, if they did leave, I doubt Kidman would just sit there with a thumb up his ass. I personally am not thrilled by him, but he has skills as a wrestler and is an established name in the big picture. It may ne be healthy for WWE to go on a release spree so quickly.

Dude, TNA cant 'compete for ratings' because they dont, and never will get a TV deal. So therefore TNA is a non factor in terms of competition for the WWE. The only way soemone can compete with Vince is if they have a ton of money and either have a friend who can get them TV or they own their own TV station(s). Otherwise nobody is going to compete with Vince.

Also, as someone else mentioned, its uinlikely that TNA will be around very much longer.

As for Torrie and Kidman. Kidman is a great worker who never gets a chance, and Torrie is a hot broad who the WWE could replace witht he blink of an eye. After this last Playboy spread I dont really see whats left for Torrie to do, and I can see her getting phased out. In which case I think Kidman would likely be on the chopping block.

NWA/TNA is just the weak competition that's there right now. I meant further down the line in the future. All I really mean to point out, is that the WWE dropping so many guys so quickly may not be such a hot idea as a continual process if they intend on remaining uncontested. It is just generally not a good idea to release enough people and chance an awful comeback by another brand or the starting of a new one.

To reiterate, I think the NWA/TNA is crap as far as competition. I don't follow it and I never have even watched it. Just don't think it's a good idea for the WWE to drop a seed, that even likely stomped out, has the potential to grow. It's just arrogant.

I seriously doubt there will ever be another promotion that can go up against the McMahon Empire. I think what companies like NWA-TNA and the like need to do is start thinking long-term, keeping an eye on how they might be able to pick up the pieces if (or maybe when) WWE goes under.

Anyways, Kidman never really gets credit for the talent he has. Sure, his Shooting Star is nowhere near as awe-inspiring as London's or Lyger's or even Lesnar's, but aside from his finish he's got a great mat game. Watch his Title match with Matt Hardy at last year's No Way Out, or Rey/Kidman vs WGTT to see what I mean.

Torrie, on the other hand, is just pretty much the set-of-tits-du-jour. I'm really hoping the "if he goes, I go" thing doesn't apply the other way around, because I doubt Torrie's going to last much longer after Vince is done using her. At the very least, the two of them could end up in TNA, and Kidman can tear it up with Lynn or Juvi.

TNA could be competition,but they almost choose not to be.

For a company supposedly filled with so many "business-related" people,they sure don't know how to run a business. They make decisions based on the good ole' boys that have control of the company,instead of doing what is good for the company as a whole. Then they either get a verbal "maybe" or "OK",or a meaningless handshake agreement with someone,and they begin promoting/advertising something (ie. Hogan, Joanie Laurer,etc..).

Too many changes in power in the company. Russo's in; Russo's out; Russo's in; then he's out again....Then blame the guy for shoddy booking and whatever else. There is only so much he can do with being ousted and re-instated every 10 minutes. This is what happened to him in WCW. They say,"you have total control",then chain him up and not let him do anything. Then blame him for WCW closing

They also spend too much time on the same guys,and basically book repetitive matches and angles (something WWE also does - you'd think TNA would learn from looking at the other working feds). I'm sorry,it may work for the internet marks,but the general fan doesn't give a shit about the 1,000 matches that (for example) Jerry Lynn will have with AJ Styles. Four star matches or not - people eventually want change.

Also,too many wasted or nonsense pushes that get shot to hell in the end. WWE has done this ALOT recently (Zach Gowen,The Cat,etc..),and as a whole they remind me of WCW right before they closed. But back to TNA,another example of this was the over tag team of New Jack & Shark Boy. Weeks of TV time got them to be extremely popular with TNA fans,but then due to problems on New Jack's part,they kill the angle with nothing explained. Like it would have hurt them to have Jack do 1-2 more shots and at least close the angle off right.

These are all just some of the mistakes that WCW made that led them to close down.It amazes me that the top 2 companies in the US at the moment have learned NOTHING from it.The only thing TNA gained from it was a chance,and McMahon got a video library that he apparently has never watched.

Sorry to ramble,but it just annoys me that a company that could have SO much potential continually holds themselves down.

But booking has nothing to do with their problems. Its all about TV, if you dont have TV you cant stay in the game (at least not at a high level).

They dont have any big stars to go to a TV network and get a deal, and beyond that, no TV networks want wrestling unless its got the WWE logo attached to it, and even then its not easy.

Like I said, if a rich dude with a TV netwrok who liked wrestling came along, then someone would have a chance. But even then, I dont think it would TNA. In all likelyhood someone like Hulk Hogan would jump on that and try to get in as the owner of the company. That way he could make his own schedule, make himself champion, and he would be able to use his name vaule to put himself over to the TV execs "I drew 93,000 in Pontiac brother" "I slammed Anrde where he weighed 700lbs", "I went into the WWE and stole all of The Rock's fans away from him". And in all seriousness he would have the ability to get other names like Sting and Goldberg on board.

So if that scenario took place, Vince could have some competition, but I dont see that going down until Turner's no compete contract is up.

I enjoy Billy Kidman, However he was used a hell of alot better in WCW. I havent seen him do much in the WWE yet hopefully time will change that.

I think it was just a one time thing. I remember they had that awesome match with the WGTT back at Vengence. I'd rather see them both as singles wrestlers.

Kidman has Talent, no doubt about that, of course, He isn't on Par with The Rey Mysterio's, Jerry Lynn's, A.J Styles, Juventud Guerrera, but he can put on Four Star Matches if he needs to, however he doesn't get much of a chance to do anything. But even if he is released, it wouldn't hurt WWE that much, I mean, Yeah, He'll go to NWA-TNA, Put on Hell Of Matches in the X-Division with the likes of Chris Sabin, Michael Shane and Many Others, But Kidman, just doesn't have to overall Draw Power to pull people in...Of course, he's never really gotten much of a chance to do so.

No doubt about it they need TV, but in the meantime, booking (and

who doesn't usually have interest in that particular type of show.It
turns out that although they usually hate that type of performance,

But I definitely agree with what you said as well,because they do
