I was watching the episodes of season 11 as and when they came out. Got to episode 7 and....nothing. What happened there then? I thought seasons last for 19 episodes or something like that. I'm vexed by this, terribly vexed

They always split the seasons up. Usually it's spring/fall, but sometimes they come back in mid-summer.
Considering most of the episodes have one week deadlines I don't blame them for splitting them up. |

Exactly, it takes them between 3-7 days to make an episode, so it would probably take longer to come up with a concept and write the episode then it creating the episode itself.
