Kennedy is not the one to carry the company
He's wrestling skills are good but not that great and his mic work is average at best. He is not the one to take the wwe into the future.
Agree/disagree? Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Do not go gently into that good night. |

Well lets see...people for the most part love Ken Kennedy, even though he's been a heel his whole career...his first appearance (as a jobber mind you) he had more charisma and character than alot of other people. He constantly tries to improve himself and ask the advice of former greats. He's good in the ring, he's entertaining on the mic, and one of the few people that when I hear his name, I don't want to change the channel.
Does this mean he will be the next Austin/Rock. Probably not, but you can never know. If the WWE keeps pushing him right, and he stays the way he is now, there is always a great possibility of it. |

He is being groomed to be the next Austin for sure. The comparisons people have made within WWE like Jim Ross, his idolization of Austin, he's gonna be a bad ass guy who's great on the microphone just like Austin, within 2 years.

I think he's got the potential. The only real fear I have is that they'll blow their load on him too soon.

I see something huge in him. When he was brawling with Super Crazy this past week he reminded me a lot of Austin's ruthlessness and I marked pretty hard.
Is he the greatest talker? No. Wrestler? No. But it's still early in his career and he's still finding a groove. And frankly, he's miles ahead of all the green fucks the WWE has been bringing up. If he keeps up his current path I feel that by 2010 he'll be the face of the company, either with Cena or against Cena. Kennedy/Cena will be this era's Austin/Rock. |

I'd see him going back to Smackdown and being the dominant face there. Leaving HHH, Orton, and Cena for Raw.

I honestly don't see any of these new stars that WWE is pushing to us as being anyone on the level of Austin/Rock/Hogan, besides maybe John Cena (I cant stand the unbeatable champ too, but he is boatloads better than Lashley/Batista).
The only guy I think has real potential to be huge like those mentioned above is MVP. The guy has been incredibly impressive, truly the total package (that I know). He's got great mic skills, he's awesome in the ring and I think barring any WWE mishaps he should be on top soon. |

Yes.
Hogan/Piper was before Hogan/Warrior. Hogan/Warrior was before Austin/Rock. Austin/Rock will be before this era's big feud. Does it mean I'm comparing them directly? No. It means I'm comparing the feuds' size and focus relative to other feuds and focuses. |

This may seem small but this is huge thing for me. The give Kennedy the same shots they gave the Rock, push ins, close ups, they are subconsiosly making the fans over time think that he is along the lines of Rock/Austin. Just take a look back at the way Rock was brought up in 98, and Austin in 96 you'll see.

The Rock started off slowly too and never blew anyone's socks off until he became The Rock. I mean, back when he was still Rocky Maivia, he was receiving lukewarm reactions at most. Probably not even Matt Hardy level pops.
It wasn't until he grew and evolved into The Rock that things really took off. Kennedy is ahead of The Rock in that level now, in terms of time with company, but ya never know... he might get better. Heck, Bradshaw sucked on the mic until he became JBL. |

Time will tell, and I for one will enjoy watching him evolve into what he will be if he becomes what his potential suggests. Apart from HHH, I don't think I really like watching anyone's segments as much.

Mr. Kennedy has a much better shot, as he gets something a lot of the "top guys" these days don't. I think it is honestly because of his acting background, but Kennedy just reacts to things so much better, he acts like he is really doing what he's doing. When I see John Cena cut a promo, or wrestle a match, or listen to the boss talk, his reactions and moves just feel so robotic and you can almost see the strings of management behind everything.
I'm sure Kennedy's stuff is scripted as well, but Kennedy is just gifted enough to make it seem organic, and like he is working on his own behalf. Plus he is learning from the greats like Stone Cold Steve Austin, and he seems like a company man. Oh, and Paul Heyman saw something in him. That is good enough for me. Kennedy may not be the greatest wrestler ever, but his matches on SmackDown! were far above average. He's got great psychology in the ring, and he manages to keep me involved in his matches by just living through them. That's something John Cena can't do. Stone Cold Steve Austin was not the best wrestler ever, not was he the best talker. He was just more than passable at both, and he found the right persona to portray himself as. I think Mr. Kennedy has a great shot at doing that as well. As for other guys who could be considered "the future" alongside Mr. Kennedy? Carlito is one. People question his dedication to the business, but just listening to him talk is amazingly entertaining. Lance Cade has got some good size and talent to him, and he can talk. If he manages to continue at a steady pace, and he turns things up at the right time in the right volumes, he could go places. MVP is another, as are Elijah Burke, CM Punk and even Johnny Nitro. The WWE have a lot of potential stars, and if they allow them to grow, you never know who will end up where. |
