I swear, if both Flair and Tully go in as the first class, TPWW will instantly have the most credible Hall of Fame out there...

How is Savage a "mid-level" guy?

I was rather curious about that myself. I'd certainly always thought of Savage as a Main Eventer...

good cases were made for both ways. I always thought of him as a ME too, but I understood the other side.

I understand the case that he spent alot if not most of his career at mid-level, but I just don't understand how a guy that ME Wrestlemaina against Hogan and Flair ( and going over Flair to win the belt) is still considered a mid-level guy.

by the way, to all the committee members: I'm reading all your e-mails and PM's in response to my quesitons posed earlier. I'm getting really good ideas and need to kind of meet half way with everyone.
So far, I've had almost everyone agree about the "Golden Age" (coined by mrslackalack) Selections we were discussing about us putting in automatically. One or two didn't think we needed to do that though. Almost everyone agreed with the automatic entry without the final vote. Loopy had a good idea though taking that a step further. If you want to explain it to everyone Loopy, go ahead. |

A lot of worthy contenders in there. Some good choices. I nearly went Regal, but then I doubled back to Davey Boy Smith, but everyone there has a case to be made. I almost wish I could go back and vote for Tully, but I voted for Hennig. Tully is just one guy who should be inducted because he is Tully fucking Blanchard. Curt Hennig I was leaning more towards because of his classic Intercontinental Championship matches and such.

Out of all of the HoF threads this one was the hardest to choose. I wound up going with Ted DiBiase, because he is the first wrestler I ever recall seeing wrestle and was my favourite for a long ass time.

Come on Steamboat!!!!
This is making me think we need to induct multiple guys from each category for the first time around... we need to catch up with the times. It's like if the pro football hall of fame started THIS year. If they started out just inducting a couple guys the first year, some deserving guys like Troy Aikman would have to wait til all the older guys get in and they wouldn't be inducted until like 2035 |

Sooo, where's Chris Jericho if he isn't on this list or the top level? In truth his real place is somewhere in between. He's like the Roddy Piper of his era, but he deserves to be on one of these lists. Probably this one.
I think Tully will get my vote. Not to sound like a nitpicking asshole, but no Jericho on this list..no NAO or E&C on the tag team list...no Savage on the main eventers list. These are some of the most popular ever in their division and they're not even choices. I think these lists need more attention before they go up on the ballot. With all due respect. |

In easily the most wide-open race in the TPWW HoF balloting, Curt Hennig is the only wrestler to appear on more than half of the ballots. He appeared on eight of eleven. Brian Pillman and Ted DiBiase appeared on four apiece, and Rick Rude had three. Everyone else on this massive poll received only one or two votes.

I went against the grain and chose JYD, because while some would argue about Bobo Brazil and Ernie Ladd's impact. I think JYD had the biggest impact with the African American community. He was a GOD in the South in the 70s-80s.
I seriously think WWF/E dropped the ball with him big time as he came in with the fan fare that really could've rivaled Hogan. |

I went a head and voted Tully, Dibiase isn't a mid level guy, he's a main event heel so I went with Tully.

Didn't see much point picking any of my favorites since there was no chance of them getting into the final three... so, I believe you owe me something, Tovo.
