Is TNA getting a second hour?

There has always been talk about them possibly getting a second hour, and last I heard Spike was really high on them. Plus if you've been paying attention to the rumor websites they have been in talks with a LOT of people to possibly bring them in; Andrew "Test" Martin, Albert/A-Train, Too Cool (Brian Christopher & Rikishi), Nidia, Matt Morgan...and apparently some suspended NFL guy with the nickname of Pacman just got signed to some kind of deal. And guys like Dustin Rhodes and the Bashams were brought in to an already full roster. Now for a company that is already having a hard time getting all their top talent on the air, it would seem unwise for them to hire a new slue of people unless they had some plan of where to put them. Now I'm not saying TNA isn't capable of making unwise and even down right stupid decisions, but do you think this new influx of wrestlers might be because they're making a go for that elusive second hour?

Counter thought: Maybe they had set aside a bunch of money in hopes Jericho would sign with them, but he just signed with WWE secretly, and so now they're dumping it on anyone they see as even a remote name.

With that said though, there is no belt in the industry that HBK could win that would add to his career. HBK's career is built around him being HBK, not winning a bunch of titles.

Once TNA gets the 2nd hour all of their problems are gonna be fixed.

Also it's rumored that they will get 2 hours in September.

I'd say your about on the money there ToVo, I can't see any other reason to add more wrestlers, when they have a handful of talent that hasnt been on TV in weeks. I'd be surprised if by September there wasn't a second hour added.

I think maybe their trying to cover themselves in a small way. Like secure what talent is known in case someone like RoH may book them for some PPVs. Whilst TNA's goal is to become an alternative (which it sorta already is in my book), they have to stay on their toes that even "newer" boys may come on the scene, and RoH is up and coming too etc etc.

I do think once they get a decent rating above 1.5 consistantly (perhaps from taht bigger network deal) then we'll start seeing some talent go. I think maybe they're tinkering right now to see what works. Peopel like Cage, Styles etc. are pretty much guaranteed TNA will want them full stop, but mayeb they're also signing people to worry certaing "mid carders / wannabe's" that they have plenty of depth in their roster.

I for one am looking forward to 2hrs of TNA, dunno if it's jsut here on Bravo, but some of the iMPACT! editing is truly fkin shocking.

TNA goes into talks with wrestlers often. I don't see why this is suitable grounds for spexulation.

I think TNA will end up with a second hour. They have met every requirement Spike TV has asked of them, and kept them very happy. They were asked to get big names, and they have signed Sting, Christian Cage, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner and I guess Adam "Pacman" Jones can be included in that list. There's also talk of Sabu being brought back in to the company. Plus their one-hour slot continues to improve in the ratings. Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter have been angling for a second hour for a long time now, so I'm fairly certain we will see it materialise.

Another thing I am interested in, are the meetings Jarrett and Carter established with Fox. When I read that, I couldn't help bu fantasise about a world where TNA had Impact! on Spike TV (2 hours) and another show on Fox (1-2 hours). TNA certainly has the roster to support a venture like this, and they are a growing company with some big names under contract.

A lot of people have initially criticised the signing of Adam Jones, but if this gets media outlets interested in TNA, I think it will be worth it. Apparently some have picked up on the story, and if this doesn't hurt TNA's chances of another hour, or even another weekly TV show, I think it can only help.

It would make sense to. If WWE can do it, and they already are a two hour show, then TNA can do it as well. I personally would love to see more TNA. No pun intended.
