I'm watching a WWF House Show from 1984 on WWE 24/7. It's the main event between Hulk Hogan and John Studd.

And in the front row a guy has a sign "Ric Flair: The REAL Heavyweight Champion"



Even during the lift-off of Hulkamania, wrestling fans knew who the true champion was.
