My friend's band (Updated for new song)

I know the bassist and the drummer, who is also doing the vocals.
It's not the best recording, but I'm pretty sure it was just a basement recording so it's pretty damn good. (they do have a really nice setup)
They go for simple stuff, but I've heard Taylor (the bassist) play before and he is amazing. He's even applying for Berklee next year.

Also, I don't think the song is bad. It's just nothing amazing. I know for a fact that two of them are extremely talented. The drummer/singer has been on a christian label before, and I think has a great voice IMO. He got kicked out basically because he didn't fit in. When they would get done with a show, he'd go out and party and the rest would sit around together reading the bible. (Not joking.. that's what they actually did)

I don't know the guitarist, but the others have a lot of potential to make some kick ass music.

Berklee School of music accepts a lot of people on the premise that if you can pay, you're in. It's a great school, but getting in is far from an indication of a freat artist.

From what I've heard, it's gotten a lot harder to get into Berklee over the past few years. Not entirely, but harder than it was in the past.

And just for clarification, I'm not trying to 'prove' my friend to anyone. I'm just saying that I have seen him play, and it is simply amazing. He is learning music theory (the only lessons he has ever taken have been to learn music theory), and I have a great amount of respect for his dedication to playing music. He has his lessons about 3 times a week, and he recently sold all of his game consoles and games so that he could dedicate more time to playing bass and working so that he can save up for a Conklin bass.

It's great that you are supporting your friend and everything, but you don't need to tell us over and over again that he is so talented. Once would be sufficient. The songs did not impress me as I could have played both on guitar easily and I am only a casual player that is not very serious at all. They weren't catchy either. Also, my brother and cousin both impress me on the drums more than that drummer.

I will post some of my cousin's bands recordings perhaps.
