We have new World Tag Team Champions.
London and Kendrick defeated Cade and Murdoch for the tag titles in South Africa.

Probably just something for the fans there, but I guess it's worth mentioning.

interesting....wonder if Cade and Murdock are gonna win it back before they come back to the states or if they will just hold off till Unforgiven before giving them the belts back.

Sweet. I love it when the WWE does title changes like that. This really doesn't throw things out of whack, and it's good when tours become more exciting, and you don't always know if the champs are going to retain.

London & Kendrick could lose the belts back to Cade & Murdoch on the tour, but I don't know. They did the quick switch with Melina and Mickie James in France, but that wasn't actually planned. I think they might actually have London & Kendrick hold onto the belts, and show up on RAW with them. I was predicting they'd take the titles at Unforgiven (there is no face team left besides them), so there may not be any point in doing the quick switches.

The week it happened, Paul London got a victory over Shelton Benjamin. I never really bought into them getting punished. I did buy into the WWE being too stupid to use them right, though.

On the topic of London & Kendrick: Honestly, for two guys that have never cut a promo and who we know very little about, these two are more over than they should be. I mean, what reason does your average fan have to care about them? They're talented as all fuck, yes, but talent means very little in the scheme of things unfortunately. That they get the reactions they do is pretty impressive.

It's certainly a good quality they have about themselves. I've always reasoned that there's no reason London & Kendrick can't be as big as The Hardys (in ratio, anyway). Not take anything away from Matt and Jeff, but neither was exactly "Mr. Substance" early in their career. Jeff, in particular, was fairly one-dimensional with his abilities. London & Kendrick are arguably better than The Hardys in terms of their technical abilities (as a tag team), and I'd argue that would be able to cut a better promo. If they get Ashley Massaro back, and start selling their shirt (it's good that they finally have one), they could certainly by an "attraction" of sorts (if you can call it that) for the tag team division.

It always seemed to me like the WWE never really saw them as being worth anything but a filler segment. That may not have changed, but I'm starting to get hope.

Also, they drip with enthusiasm, and it infects the crowd. They're high-energy, streaks of lightning that any fan can find fun to watch. I'm not huge fans of them and I don't scream to see them, but they're very enjoyable and a good way to flesh out a show.

I agree with that, most of the time. I was going to throw JBL's name out there, because he does wonders for guys like Matt Hardy and Chuck Palumbo. He used to be great for London & Kendrick, too, saying that he loved to watch them, but there were only a few moments where he actually put them over. One was when Kendrick got the hot tag and JBL said "He's a cute little guy, but he can go, and hurt you badly." Not his best work, as there are only so many times you can say it before it becomes cliche.

JR has lost a step, though, and JBL would be better in general. I'd like to see him call the World Tag Team Title match at Unforgiven with JR, and have him say that he requested this match because he wants to call another London & Kendrick match, because they are so fun to watch. He would really put over Cade & Murdoch, too, I think.

JBL does an amazing job of puttings guy over, but I don't think he did the best job possible with London & Kendrick, although he certainly did well.

I hope the WWE puts over the fact that London & Kendrick were the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all-time on SmackDown!, but their first World Tag Team Title reign lasted only a few days on Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch's watch. That is where JBL would come in handy.

I'm hoping this becomes a rivalry between the two teams, with some frequent title switches. London & Kendrick should win at Unforgiven. If they don't want to switch the belts again so soon, have it be via disqualification, after Cade & Murdoch can't put away their challengers, and continue on to a No DQ Tag Team, or something like that, where London & Kendrick win.
