Laptop question.

Alright, I just bought a laptop. And with laptops, I guess there are certain "Hotspots" in your house for the internet I guess. I plug the laptop into this "hotspot" which is how im using this right now. And the thing is the internet goes on and off. Sometimes i get it for 30 seconds, 10 minutes, 1 hour. WHat it does is that it says Internet connected...internet dissconnected....10 seconds later internet disconnected and so on.

How do I get the internet 24/7 on a laptop without it disconnecting on me all the time? is it like a computer where I have to call a cable operator or whatever and hook it up?

Are you using a router? If so, it's most likely that.
