Sound problem
This started a while ago, but I've ignored it until now. Sometimes my computer sound will randomly go into a distorted sound. You can still hear whatever's playing but cracks and is sort of staticy. I'm sure it's not a speaker problem because I also have my computer's sound hooked up to my stereo and I get the same problem. I've tried disconnecting and fiddling with the cords but it doesn't help.
I've also uninstalled and reinstalled my sound drivers, and that seemed to work for about an hour but then it hit again. It seems to happen the most when I have two sound sources playing at the same time, but it lasts a long while after that. So I'm at a loss at what this could be. Any ideas? ![]() |

Does it make a popping sound?

I guess you could call it popping but it's constant (only when there's sound).

I ask because my speakers did that at one point. It made a cracking/popping sound and I think it had something to do with the actual speaker wires. I think mine had to do with the cold air around it so it's probably not the same problem. Just figured I'd throw it out there and say that I had a similar problem and it was the speakers.
