NWA 1989 is a good blueprint on how to make booking flow

It was realy awesome looking back. I'm talking mostly about thier main angles. You start the year off with Steamboat taking the Title from Flair at Rumble. They go on to have an awesome feud with steller matches. Steamboat would beat Flair again at the Clash in April. Flair gets a last rematch at Wrestlewar in June and beats him.

Flair shakes his hand after the match, pretty much cementing his fae turn. Then Terry Funk, who was one the the judges at the PPV, gets into the ring and asks Flair for a Title match. Flair nicely says no and Funk attacks Flair. Awesome.

This sets up Flair vs Terry Funk and the newly formed J-Tex Corporation with Gary Hart. Sting comes to Flairs aid and they feud with them for the next couple months.

Funk never beats Flair and they have a blowoff I Quit match at Clash 9. Funk loses and Gary Hart turns on him after the match and the Corporation and Luger destory Sting, Flair and Funk.

The Horsemen (Ole and Arn) return around this time to aid Flair and Sting. Eventually they reform the 4 Horsemen. At Starrcade, Sting wins a tourney, which gives him a shot at Flair's Title.

At Clash 10, the ME was suppossed to be Horsemen vs Muta, DragonMaster and Buzz Sawer (J-Tex), but the Horsemen turn on Sting before the match, thus starting a new program. Ole subbed for Sting in the match, the Horsemen won (officially ending that program) and Sting went after Flair.

Sting got injured and fucked up everything, but yea, 1989 was a really hot year for them.
