Sky Sports announced this week that their package is changing from the 1st November, customers who only subscribe to Sky Sports 1 or 2 will no longer receive the bonus channel Sky Sports 3 - This has disappointed many WWE fans:

"i got a letter through the post saying that currently i subscribe to Sports 1 & 3 but they are taking away the "Bonus" channel Sports 3.
they are offering the whole sports package for the same price for 4 months...can i take this offer up and then cancel all the sports after it?
the letter just says that as you pay a month in advance you have to stay on it for that month...am i reading this correctly or will i be tied in to something longer....
just a further point, am i the only one who thinks sky is getting way too expensive?"

"We got this letter as well, we are just going to cancel the sports stuff and save ourselves the money since all that was watched was WWE and thats only on SS3, also no-one in my house watches it anymore. So sky basically sent us a reminder to cancel."

"bloody rip off. There goes my wwe i dont care to be honest if am going to have to pay an extra £10 a month. Sky is out of there tree if they think am paying that much more."

These are the shows fans will miss out on unless the currently subscribe or switch package.

- WWE SMACKDOWN! - FRIDAY NIGHTS - 9PM/10PM
- WWE SMACKDOWN! REPEAT- SAT 10AM & 6PM, MONDAY 7PM
- ECW- THURSDAY - 12PM
- ECW REPEAT- MONDAY- 12PM
- WWE HEAT - MONDAY - 1AM
- WWE HEAT REPEAT - ALL WEEK
- MOST OF THE WWE BOTTOM LINES & AFTERBURNS (you can catch some of these on Sky Sports 1)
- SOME WWE EXPERIENCES (you can catch some of these on Sky Sports 1 and Sky One)

I got the whole package, so I'm not effected. Pretty shitty though as they are charging for more PPV's now as well

That sucks! Dont think it effects me too much as i have all the sports channels but i used to love all the free PPV's we used to get.

I'm with CSL, I just pick out what I want to watch online.

I used to get the full package, but then realised I was just paying all that extra for WWE. So I cut the package and now I use freeview on my new tv, and download any wrestling I want off the net.

Sky are getting fucking greedy though. I remember when sport used to come free as a normal package, now you have to pay for WWE, football, all kinds of shit. Fuck that.

Although I was gonna start a thread about the cost of watching wrestling here (UK) compared to over there (US).

I only watch Sky Sports for the free PPVs. If those disappear then I'll be completely on torrents from now on.

This doesn't affect me thankfully, since i have the whole sky package except for movies. I wouldnt lose any sleep over missing WWE though if it did affect me, i went 3 weeks without watching it and didn't give a shit.
