This shit is so ridiculous.. Saying that since a 9 year old sits at home and plays a game where they are rewarded for killing police could lead them to do that in real life is f'n retarded.. There is a rating system for a reason, same with movies.. They are trying to say that parents allow their children more freedom with video games than movie, then there is something wrong with the parents.. They wouldn't let their child watch The Departed, why would they let them play GTA 3??
Also, reality is much more violent than most video games.. Just watch the 10pm news.. |

The media is more to blame than video games and movies. As Roger Ebert once said, anytime a kid shoots up his local high school, the media puts him on the news, gives him all this attention, and makes excuses for why he did it. It tells the kid that they can do something heinous like that, and become famous.
