Kennedy's segment on RAW *spoilers*
...was pretty terrible. Really pointless. It took forever for everybody to get to the ring and then when they finally did, Ken had nothing to say. For the past year everyone has been treating him like some promo god or something but lately he has really been showing some weaknesses. I mean, Michaels barely saved that promo by coming out.

Dunno, maybe it's just me. How is Kennedy doing lately IYO?

Seemed like they were trying to throw him into a Rock-style promo and he just doesn't have the same attitude. I don't know what it is about Kennedy...I definitely see potential in him, he just doesn't ever seem to run the right way with it.

I'll be honest. I disagree with both sides on the Kennedy thing. Now, someone out there is going to try and turn that into me being contrary, but really, I think Kennedy is a solid performer who's probably being hyped beyond his ability, but this whole "Kennedy sucks" thing is inane.

Is he the Rock? Or Austin? Or Michaels? No. But he's far from terrible.

Hearing the tunes and the titantron's and even seeing the video's still the same was weird. Must feel weird for them to see themselves on some place they don't work for no more.

I'm kinda getting tired of angles/segments that seem to feature heavily WWE products. Jericho mentioned WWE mobile, HHH picked up both of his new shirts, WWE magazine is always featured in the office, Kennedy keeps mentioning Shawn's new dvd, Santino doesn't like the Condemned, come on.

Kennedy is not terrible, but he is not that the level that i want him, or the potential in him, to be at. I just think that that segment wasn't for him. He would have done it right if he would've made jokes about each one while coming down/in the ring. Also, it seems as if they (WWE) are forcing it with Kennedy. They get one guy that is a little over and can talk a little and they want to suddenly GIVE him the ball and run. It takes time to evolve in the business. Only The Rock and Angle have evolved in such a short period of time.

I completely agree with that segment being utter crap. It had a boatload of potential but it ended up being a complete waste of time. Kennedy showed that he's not a promo God, just has a good promo voice. Seriously, he has done nothing to impress me and I'm trying to be optimistic about the guy. Back when he first did the KENNEDY....KENNEDY thing I thought he had good potential on the stick, but has done nothing with it. Probably explains why TNA didn't keep him.

While fond of Kennedy, I'm forced to side with the "what the fuck was the point of that segment" camp. Seemed like whoever wrote it thought that just having the fakes standing there in the ring would somehow be hilarious, since they gave Kennedy nothing even slightly interesting to do with them once they were there. Just putting a kayfabe spin on it: Jericho obviously heard Randy Orton accept the challenge, but seeing as he was new back, did not know if the match would be signed off on by someone to make such matches. The mobile announcement was evidence as such, and Jericho can also use it to belittle Orton. "I wasn't really listening to you, but this mobile says we have a match."

I really like Kennedy but the segment on Raw was boring and went too long. I prefer late 2006 Kennedy when he was bashing Taker's head in with his microphone.

I'm still glad that Kennedy is getting a Michaels feud though, because it shows WWE are testing the waters with him again. I feel that if Kennedy hadn't got injured, moved to Raw, then suspended, he'd be a bigger star right now on Smackdown. But the positive outcome of the move, is it gives MVP pretty much the whole spotlight over on SD.
