Good songwriter, terrible voice. Lots of really good songs (Lover I Don't Have To Love, A Poetic Retelling of an Unfortunate Seduction, Something Vague, A Line Allows Progress, A Circle Does Not, are some of my favorite songs ever), lots of crap. Overhyped and slightly pretentious. Those are my thoughts.
You'd probably like Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Decemberists, Rilo Kiley, Death Cab For Cutie and Neutral Milk Hotel if you like Bright Eyes. I know I do. |

I hope that he doesn't continue down the vein of Cassadaga, but he's a great song writer. Puts on a hell of a live show for what it's worth. And FakeRazor pretty much has you as far as suggestions go.

Ok here I'm gonna start with Desaparecedios and go straight to Fevers and mirrors, because Fake Razor already said the best songs off of Letting off the happiness
Desaparecidos the whole album is an amazing punk experience about the urbanization of small town america and how corporate life effects love. well I just started writing a review for every album and putting the best songs down, but I realized I like every song on every album so, fuck. |
