Florida St Puts Its Teams on Probation
Well, do you give them credit for stepping in and taking some action? Not really, it's a smart move, by doing something hopefully it keeps the NCAA away, which would probably cost them some bowl and other championship/post season apperances which costs the school big bucks.

Who cares? They cheated on an online test. 've cheated on plenty of online tests in college, a professors gotta assume people are gonna cheat if you post a test online.
One of my roommates freshman year had every criminal justice test online and he cheated on every single one. Almost the entire class would go to the library at the sametime, one person would take the test and get the best score possible while somebody else wrote down every question (tests are timed) After the first person took it and got whatever they got, the rest of them would find the answers to everything and they would all get 100's. It is a pretty stupid thing to suspend people for but I am sure they are just trying to hide from the big bad NCAA that loves to suspend people for stupid shit, since they are too dumb to catch the people doing the serious shit. |

Just because some people are lazy and don't want to do work doesn't make it alright.
Plus, this basically was nothing like what you said. The school's investigation found that a tutor gave students answers while they were taking tests and filled in answers on quizzes and typed papers for students. I admit that I have used a book on online testing (before I figured out that it was better just to find out what to study for from someone who already took it and then study that information) but doing that is ridiculous. Then again, 95% of college students are lazy. |

The cheating occurred mainly through online testing for a single music history course in the fall of 2006 and the spring and summer semesters last year. It included staffers helping students on the test and in one case asking one athlete to take it for another.
http://www.sportsline.com/general/story/10643828 ----- I thought that is all that happened? Either way, yeah cheating is stupid but so is accepting kids into your school who aren't qualified just because they can play football. The whole thing is fucked up, so cheating on a few tests doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. |

Hmm, the information I posted either came up before or after the stuff you posted because I remember reading that as well. I'm thinking after it came out it was revealed in more detail. I don't see using a book on online tests that bad (especially since you can only use it for a few questions anyway if the test is timed) or even finding out the questions on the test and then studying that information. I always got the general information that I needed to study from someone who already took it and then studied and just took the test. To get caught cheating on an online test I would assume takes some skill.
