New England Music Scrapbook
This week marks the fifth year of the New England Music Scrapbook's mailing list. NEMS is a website and mailing list that at least used to be associated with Dirty Water, a website which dealt with Boston area music and history. In many ways, it's an offshoot of the site.
Anyway, it deals with a lot of New England area acts, or acts with a New England following, and it has a decent following, including readers who belong to some of the larger names. While a lot of the news is culled from other news sources, NEMS tends to get some good interviews with some acts, mostly small, but some large. http://www.geocities.com/nemsbook/home.htm Anyway, just thought I'd plug it. “There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”--John Rogers |
