Freaks and Geeks

Did a search and was amazed to find that there doesn't seem to have ever been a Freaks and Geeks thread on TPWW.

I've been watching this show a lot recently (thanks to VeohTV and this website http://theadventureofalifetime.wordp...-geeks-online/

Amazing show with a lot of great young actors in it including James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, and some of the episodes are directed by Judd Apatow.

Kind of a coming of age type of show that tackles teenage issues like drugs, sex, girlfriends, music, social status, and combines both comedy and some "learning" moments that remind me of The Wonder Years and My So-Called Life. It also has a bad ass soundtrack in just about every episode.

Anybody else see this shit?

Yeah, it's alright. Honestly I only watched the first few episodes and wasn't feeling it that much so I stopped. I mean it's good but I think it's extremely overrated. Also it's so much less funny than Apatow's other stuff. Do the later episodes get better or something?

The first couple episodes were pretty slow, but that's actually the best part about the short series, because it spends time establishing the characters on a shallow level, and then delves in much deeper in later episodes, which are also much funnier.

"Smooching and Mooching" and "Chokin' and Tokin'" are both very good, later season episodes.

one of my favorite shows of all-time. I was probably one of the few that actually watched it when it was on NBC. I have the complete series on DVD. It reminds me so much of the Wonder Years.
