Right, so I'm sick of pussyfooting around the awesome events of this game in the other thread, so as to avoid spoiling it for anyone.

But there are just too many awesome events in this game to not just talk directly about them.

Rex vs Ray was amazing. I'm still 100% partial to the last fight though. That seriously could not have been any better... From the music spanning all 4 games, to the life bars changing, to Snake "beating" Liquid out of Ocelot... Everything about the Snake vs Ocelot fight reaked of epic.

Plus, Ocelot's last words are greatness, and I think he really comes full circle as the best character in the game.

All I know is that the end part, finding out Ocelot was never Liquid, but more of just Liquid's personality to fool the Patriots was amazing.

The hand gesture, the "You're pretty good."...all of it.

And the end with Big Boss. SERIOUSLY did not see that coming.

Oh, and the part where you're crawling through the microwave thing, and the cutscene is showing up top as Snake is slowly getting fried down below.

The split screen was awesome in that part, but I didn't like it in shadow moses. Couldn't watch the awedsome vamp/raiden fight, because I was too busy fighting the gekkos

The ending with Big Boss caught me a little off gaurd, I knew the body in ACT 3 wasn't him but didn't think he would be fully alive or anything. It was kinda obvious that the body was Solidus; look at the act names: Liquid Sun, Solid Sun, Third Sun.

Anyways, the thing with Zero was the real surprise. I honestly had this feeling that Campbell was going to end up being Zero or something, don't know why. I still think he may be involved, maybe Zero's son or something. I mean Drebin reveals Rat Pt 01 spells patriot and they were really sent by the patriots to assist snake, but Campbell set up the rendevous. So if the meeting was set up by the patriots and campbells the one who sent all of you there, it at the very least indicates that Campbell is being controlled by the patriots.

I've also wondered if FoxALIVE really 'killed' of the Patiots entirely. We know it was designed to destroy the 4 AI's and JD, but what about the endless proxys that Big Boss told you of? Did Sunny and Naomi know of those when they programmed the virus? If not, then the proxys will probably rebuild the patriots in some form.

Game leaves so many unanswered questions.

Finished it. My God... Epic. I may have shed a tear in certain scenes, you guys will never know for sure. Johnny's the man. Hal still turns emotional moments into unintentional hilarity (that webcam chat he had with a dying Naomi just killed me with MK2 acting out Hal's feelings and later on he's hugging his labtop! lol I love the guy).

I don't know why, but I got very emotional seeing Big Boss and Snake... merely talking. Not quite as father and son but...

Did anyone notice David never gets the chance to hold his mother's hand or shake his father's hand? Both moments are interupted.

The Rex vs Ray battle is something I've looked forward to for a long time. I always imagined that "In one of these Metal Gear games we'll be able to actually pilot one". Points for the crazy 'monster' moves when Ray is down. Very cool.

Raiden is God. I do not need to elaborate on the matter.

I love Sunny, I really do.

My one and only gripe is the sorry attempt at redeeming Vamp upon his death. Can't anybody just die evil in Metal Gear? I have to feel for them in their last moments?

The one that plays Screaming Mantis is hot too. Actually, so is the one that plays Crying Wolf. Even Raging Raven is attractive, but not quite as much so.

Yeah finished it last night, probably the best game I've played in along time. When you first go back to shadow moses and you play the MGS1 bit as a dream. Do you have to complete that to get the mgs1 face or do you just get it anyway?
Yeah Rex vs Ray was immense but that fist fight was the best thing I've seen in a video game. ever.
Deserves 10/10 and IMO game of the year.

Just completed again, on liquid easy. Took me 3 and a half hours. Got some cool camo that time through. If you kill the 4 B&B's with tranq then you get their face mask.
And if you bump into Raiden, Otacon and Collonel Campbell with the MK.2 then you get their face masks.

Hardest pin in the game is the big boss pin. Complete the game on The Boss extreme, without being detected, having any continues, using any firearms (only tranqs and CCQ) and complete in under 5 hours.

You get the Patriot and a big boss face mask and camo.

Also if you haven't done other pins you unlock stealth camo and the bandanna.
