Wireless Cable Modems
My I.T guy says they are crap and need constant care but for what I want to do it's the only option. Are they worth getting or should i stay well away?

They work just fine. You just have to pick the right brands; Netgear and Linksys routers are usually good, stay from stuff from D-Link.

D-Link is shit, I have one - well it's not too bad, but it alway seems to crap itself in the middle of the night when I'm downloading something, and I don't find out until the morning.

I saw a Net Gear one at lunch and it had like a rating compared to other Net Gear wireless cable modems. Is there anything specific that I should be looking for?
