I liked Wes Cravens original 1972 movie, but I don't think the remake will be any good as most of the horror remakes lately have sucked.

Big fan of the original (although I could do without the bumbling cops). There's such a rawness to it and realism (the stuff that happens to the girls anyway, not the climax) that creeps me out. But I think it was certainly a product of its time as well. Don't know how well the subject matter will do today.

woah, just read the wikipedia article on this and I love sick movies, but this is fucking sick. I dunno how they are even going to begin to remake this with what the other movie was.
