Arrow House of Brothers

I only found out about this guy because of Penner's 'plug your band' thread and Danny's consequent posting of This Town Needs Guns, which led me to Big Scary Monster Records who apparently house a whole bunch of artists could have been loving but didn't know about. Aside from the aforementioned This Town..., there are some fantastic bands on that label, including the very sublime Andrew Jackson, aka the central force behind House of Brothers.

Really nice, sedate, airy British indie-folk that smacks a bit of Elliott Smith. Mournful strings behind strangely hopeful acoustic guitar and piano. I highly recommend it if you're into that sort of thing.

You can buy the EP on iTunes. I did. Less than seven bucks, too. I'll take eight, etc.
