Bischoff's New Wrestling Promotion
Would you watch Bischoff's new wrestling promotion headed up by Goldberg and Hogan? It would be a nice nostalgic thing to watch the two of them again, but the rest of the talent would be a bunch of indy guys.

Hogan and Goldberg by themselves? Are they going to get left over WWE talent that is floating around like Test and X-Pac? It sounds awful.

I'd check it out because I love wrestling, but doubt I'd make an effort to watch it regularly (provided it lasts long enough). If they had good wrestling when Hogan and/or Goldberg aren't on boring up the promotion I'd probably make some effort to watch.

Honestly, who could the get for such a promotion? Savage? Scott Hall? A promotion with Goldberg and Hogan is probably going to bring in a bunch of washed up guys, scrubs that never where never really worth it. Probably some washed up scrubs. and Then a bunch of no-namers to job out.

TNA has already got all the good left overs and indy guys.

I'm not saying there isn't room for another promotion, but there isn't room for one starting with Hogan and Goldberg.

Anything with the Bisch involved in would (for me) certainly be worth a look (at the least). As much as I would have little interest in Hogan/Goldberg, I would certainly be keen to see what Bischoff did with it.

RAW has never been the same without him

So Ive seen trailers for the Celebrity show online, and it looks pretty good to me.

I wouldnt start a promotion if I were Bischoff and co, I just dont think it makes financial sense, and I dont think they are capable of doing the things that will get people interested in 2008.

However, if the reality show is a success, I think they could easily do a PPV out of it. They could easily hype up a match between Hogan and Goldberg say, and if the show is at all successful it would probably get some eyeballs on it. But I dont think there's a long term promotion out of that considering the guys who are available right now.

Well, apparently the Hogan/Goldberg rumours surrounding this prospective promotion were fictional, and that Bischoff is planning to use new talent if things go ahead.

Rob Van Dam has trouble with his wife, and I'm not sure about his personal situation with Bischoff, but he could very easily be a top star for the promotion. If Takeshi Morishima is looking to get some mainstream American attention, working with Bischoff would be a way to get at the WWE. Christian Cage's contract with TNA is expiring soon. Batista is apparently unhappy with the WWE.

You are pretty dumb.

RVD would come back to WWE first, WWE has treated him well despite him being irresponsible. I think he reconizes that.

If Christian was to leave TNA, he would go back to WWE instead of trying to build another promotion.

I don't know Takeshi Morishima is. But if he is looking to get American Mainstream attention, TNA is a better choice than something that isn't even confirmed.

I still say the obvious choices a promotion like this would make are Sid, Nelson Frazier (I don't know what wrestling name he is going by now, King V?) X-Pac, Scott Hall, and any of Hogan's dumb buddys that can still walk.

Quiet, redneck.

Firstly, a disclaimer: I was just pointing out that there is talent out there that could possibly be persuaded to join a new wrestling promotion, and provide a starting base for it. But now onto your points:

Rob Van Dam chose to walk away from the WWE. If Bischoff's promotion has money behind it, and offered to make RVD its focus star (which would probably be a wise thing to do, as opposed to a Hogan), then I see no reason why RVD would not sign with them.

If Christian were to leave TNA, then the WWE is one possibility. But Christian also left the WWE for a reason. When he joined TNA, he did help build up the promotion to another stage of its life. I think the pattern of his behaviour shows a desire for growth.

Takeshi Morishima would go to the biggest promotion possible. It depends how much money goes into Bischoff's thing. If it's something closer to WCW than TNA, Morishima would be quite foolish to go to TNA, unless they put him in the main event to feud with Samoa Joe. He could probably be a major player in a new promotion, anyway.

As for the guys you mentioned at the end, yes, they would be good signings, with the only downside being the WCW stigma they carry. Sean Waltman is good when he's motivated, and a large sum of money would greatly help that. If King V gets back into shape, he could be a temporary big man for the company. Scott Hall deserves another shot at the top if he can stay sober. Sid would be a good pick if he doesn't end up in the WWE.
