Allied Powers Question

I'm confused now. I was reading some In Your House results from back in the early days on Wikipedia (the sites awesome for reading about all the old feuds and matches) and I came across the Allied Powers. Some of you who watched back them remember them as the short-lived team of Bulldog and Luger.

Anyway, you may also remember around this time, August/Sept 95, Diesal was feuding with Mabel. Wikipedia says that it was the Raw before Summerslam 95 where Bulldog turned on Diesal in a tag match with Men on a Mission

But I swear I remember earlier in the show Bulldog saying something like "my partner went down south for an emergency or something" as to explain Lex's absense for the night. Now I always took that as a reference to Luger jumping to WCW. But Luger appeared at Summerslam and left a week later accorfing to Wikipedia

Am I missing something here. Does anybody remember Bulldog saying that? Does Wiki have the dates wrong maybe? I always remember Bulldog turning heel after Summerslam.
