so pumped (show related)
I have tickets to go see the Wu on December 18th in Rochester, New York. I just found out today that they are playing in Clifton Park, New York (15 minutes from my homestead) on the 28th. Going to go to both, so fucking pumped.

This brings up a very interesting point (imo) about music today. I don't think a lot of big names are willing to play small venues because unfortunately it is all too much about the money. Don't get me wrong, it always has been, but to a lesser degree than today. There is no doubt in my mind Wu could sell out 20K seat arenas if so inclined, but they play these clubs that hold a few hundred people, and I feel as a fan that it establishes more of a connection to the group, at least for myself.

Indeed..
I saw Snoop play a club show two nights in a row.. They sold out the first show so fast that they then booked him for a second night which only like 400 people showed up (it was a Sunday).. Both the packed show and the lesser one were fucking awesome.. Clubs are def the way to see music.. |

Yeah, I don't think I'd go see a show in any other manner. I couldn't imagine going to see some musical act at an arena housing thousands. Either in a small, packed club, or possibly some festival.
