wwe trying to increase web activity

The WWE Launched an official statement at 11:30 E.S.T last night stating that a new genral manager will be decided upon today. Who this General manager is and any trades he decides to make, will be posted on WWE.com at 9:00 (or 9:30) tuesday night.. (E.S.T.).

is this the WWE trying to get more internet activity? i believe this is a great idea! what do you guys think?

Yeah i hope its not him!! I hope its Vince. then you got yourselfs set up for WCW V. ECW. V. WWE. but not against each other as wrestlers, against each other as shows.. the way it should have been

they never should have changed heels to faces and faces to heels or interrupted storyline like last time. (read my ECW do's And Don'ts)

And about the initial message:

it came from me

you can read about it at wwe.com

but i wrote it myself.

i might start writing an article here

but i havent talked to Anybody about it

It's more likely to be Stephanie McMahon since Triple H was drafted to Smackdown.

Teddy Long is another possibility. It'd be something new.

Could also be Dawn Maire. Bet you didn't think of that one.

I'm going to guess that the initial topic was trying to say "By Posting Such an Important Piece of New Only on Their Website, was the WWE Trying to Increase Their Interaction with the so-called Internet Wrestling Community?"

No. The WWE never has and never will think of the IWC. If they acknowledge Internet fans at all, then they would have to acknowledge the large group of fans that are critical of the product. If they really did want to increase interaction, they owuld just open up a message board. Or hold some sort of on-line chat once a week.

They've done a good job to generate interest in the product with more than just their TV. I think what they've done is great. It's an extra touch that internet fans should appreciate.

And since the GM now has revealed to NOT be Stephanie, it gets better. Because the GM is YOUR OLYMPIC HERO, Kurt Angle!

Its smart to use the net.

I suggested a while back that they should keep a top ten list for the various titles. And have it updated weekly on the net. They could also use an internet show to discuss the top ten and who went up or down that week.

They cant really break too many stories on the net because of the sheets, but certain things they can create, and that could draw people to the site.

Satire and jokes generally have the requirement of first being funny.

Think their hatred of the net will win, or will they scrap their favorite scapegoat and start doing more to farner interest?

About a year ago they would do an internet poll on Raw that I thought was used to get more internet hits. THey would give you a poll question at the beginning of Raw (usually about the main event) and near the end of the show they'd give the results. I think one question was something like "Who tried to run Goldberg over?" or something like that. It wasn't something that I looked forward to every episode or anything, but it was interesting to find out what everyone else thought.
