WSX Yay or Nay?

Ah yes, it's the first Yay or Nay back on this board and we gotta come back by not just judging a superstar or a tag tam but an entire company. I might have asked about it before but for those who saw it what did you think Wrestling Society X Yay or Nay? So for those who remember WSX was a company on MTV in I think 2006 that was suppose to be an underground beyond extreme wildest wrestling you would ever see!!! I was at Best Buy and I saw the first (and last) season on DVD for less than 20 bucks so I picked it up anyways just to see all the matches. So for the positives, they had a good unseen roster with plenty of talented wrestlers Youth Suicide, Teddy Hart, Human Tornado and even some like Matt Sydal (Evan Borne) and Matt Classic (Colt Cabana/ Scotty Goldman) eventually got WWE contracts. They had a pretty solid tag team division too Luke Hawx and Alkatrazz, DIFH, that 70's team, and the Cartel. As for the cons the cheeze factor was through the roof. Explosive cage match, shoving Arik Cannon's head in wet cement, there was a point where they poured water on one guy and "electrocuted" him with a wire, and the commentators were HORRIBLE (sometimes you can get away with decent matches if you have a good announce team but these guys sucked). Another weak point was there biggest names as far as vets go was Syxx Pac, and Justin Credible. They tried to pass a even more morbidly obese Vic Grimes as a "monster" Every time he did a more the camera shook, very bad. So what did you guys think of WSX Yay or Nay?

It was pretty terrible. They had some good wrestlers, but MTV had to make it even faker than regular wrestling. The thing that annoyed me the most was the audience. MTV put their target audience in the crowd and paid them to be there. Terrible.

I just watched the first episode and it was the saddest excuse for wrestling I have ever seen (and I've been to a CZW event). I never thought I could hate MTV more than I do already.

I want that 22 minutes back.

ROHFan21 does not have that much rep yet (10+)
WSX was an interesting concept and for the few minutes of wrestling it had each week it featured some good talent it just wasn't given a chance to develop and it should have been on another channel besides MTV so it wouldn't have had to have the music tie-in.

It was fun. Not necessarily good, but it was fun. Also, they did have some pretty good gimmicks (for the wrestlers, not for matches, the match gimmicks were fucking retarded.)

Before WSX, I was unaware that Zack Wylde would make an okay announcer.

I hated that they shook the camera everytime something kinda cool happened. Dumb.

I remember watching a video in my media class years ago about how MTV and Pepsi placed together a fake party and filmed it to promote both ends.

I thought it was fun to watch, and didn't take it too seriously. They had some good performers on there, including the now Evan Bourne, and even Jack Evans. But the announcers were horrible.
