From the 8 or 9 that I actually saw, I went with Jericho/Michaels in the ladder match.

I went with HBK/Y2J at No Mercy. My top three would be:

1. HBK/Y2J - No Mercy
2. Edge/Taker - WM 24
3. Edge/Taker TLC - ONS

All really good matches. The RAW Elimination Chamber and the Backlash Fatal Fourway were really entertaining matches too.

I only saw a few but Jericho HBK ladder match was good so I'll give it to them

I'd say the cage match with batista and jericho was good to though.

Anyone else think this was Edge's best year for non-gimmick title matches? I know he had his share of good gimmick matches with the TLC and Cell match with Taker, but Wrestlemania 24 and The Great American Bash were good to great memorable singles matches. In fact, I'd say WM 24 was his best non-gimmick match.

Agreed.

Shit son, aside from Unforgiven and maybe Judgment Day (I didn't watch that match), I'd say every match was an entertaining, pretty good ***+ match. WWE did have a good PPV year in 2008.

I'm a little iffy about my enjoyment of the Survivor Series main event, but that may just be because I REALLY wanted Jericho to win.

I went with Edge/Taker from Mania, because it was just whoa. You knew 'Taker would probably keep the streak going, but Edge had his number every step of the way. He accounted for everything...

EXCEPT the Gogoplata.

Edge v Taker. Only match in WWE I've seen in a while where the in ring action actually told an overall story rather than just being a match built around certain spots and a finish (besides the HBK/Flair match from the same card, which wasn't as good as Edge/Taker).

Edge/Taker at mania was good, but wasn't as good as HBK/Flair. Very close.

All Edge's matches where pretty good, espeically Mania but Trips, Edge and Hardy stole the show for me then Jeff winning sealed it.

There have been some great main events, but my favorite for this year was Edge vs Taker at WM. I knew the match would be good, but I didn't think I'd get behind the false finishes as much as I did. Great match.

Ladder Match- HBK VS Y2J @ No Mercy

That match was so hyped, and was hot as hell. Not to mention, it's HBK and Y2J (Always Classic).
