Did you guys use to watch the GWF?
I do not know why but I just suddenly started thinking about this promotion from back in the day. I think it was like the early 90s? It was on ESPN and they had a red ring and they had The Patriot, Cactus Jack, "The Lightning Kid", Jerry Lynn, Booker T and Stevie Ray, Tugboat, some other people I am obviously forgetting. And they had a bungee cord match with someone who was afraid of heights. Was it X-Pac or someone else? GOOD TIMES.

Lightning Kid was Sean Waltman. And he was the shit. If the IWC was around during this era, they'd be blowing him. The Ebony Experience was good. Alex Porteau was a good heel. As was the Dark Patriot (portrayed by the late Eddie Gilbert, IIRC).

Another person in Global was "The Handsome Stranger," who wrestles in High School Gyms to this day under the name he's more famously known as: Fluff Fagwell, I mean Buff Bagwell.

Who was in that bungee cord match? For some reason I keep thinking it was Waltman vs Jerry Lynn, but I don't think it actually was.

Well, the son of a bitch bumped into me one time in Columbia. Didn't turn around and say I'm sorry. Just went to his little table to sign autographs, though half the crowd left early (as soon as Team 3D won their match). I still want to take a shit in his hat for that.

Then again, maybe he was in a bad mood because he had to wrestle 2 green douchebags (one who was talking shit to Brother Ray in the back before the matches, the other was reduced to tears by the same Brother Ray because he was talking shit at the bar after the matches.) and team with a bigger shitbag (Mike Youngblood, because Scotty Riggs got Injured, thus ruining his planned American Males reunion. Mike is another story altogether.), all while wrestling in Snake Shit (Jake "The Snake" wrestled the match before, got the snake out, and it did it's doody in the ring.).

I remember watching it from time to time, but I couldn't tell you any matches I saw on it, or anyone that was on the show other than the ones already mentioned - it was JUST. THAT. MEMORABLE.
